Great App - Using since 2024 5★
This is a fantastic app for any golfer. Especially for people starting out, you can track your progression and it can actually gives you an unofficial handicap. I manually add in my official handicap which is higher than what 18Birdies gives me, simply because some courses I play are not an official club. I can play with my friends and in groups and we can all track each other’s scores and I can track my friends who are playing at different times - wherever they are and we can see what we eachothers rounds. The track shot feature is amazing and you check your driver and chipping distances with a simple click of the button. You can see the each hole and overall course, zoom in out to check distances and understand the landscape from your phone, which is idea if you do not have a golf watch. Definitely recommend. Added bonus, any golfers that use the app during a round, you get added to the official leaderboard and you could compare yourself to other golfers on the app.

I definitely recommend 18Birdies. 5★
It’s great it helps my golf with distance and seeing my progression I would definitely recommend 18Birdies to anyone, if you are just starting or an experienced golfer. It’s great!

Glitchy and not good with Apple Watch. 2★
I took the 7-day free trial of all the premium features inc smart tracking, but it doesn’t work well with Apple Watch. There’s no facility on the watch to tell it what club you’re using. It does seem to track the shots somehow but without the club info there doesn’t seem much point. After I completed my round it asked me to go back over every hole and confirm what club I used for each shot. How am I supposed to remember? It should ask at the time of taking the shot. Also after the round when I was trying to review my scores the app was very glitchy and kept causing my phone to crash. Subscription cancelled, I’m sorry to say.

No response from Customer Support 2★
The 18Birdies app is good, but I am very disappointed by the lack of response from customer support and social media channels. My home course does not have the correct hole order in the app, whilst competitor apps appear to have this set up correctly. I have sent four emails and two Facebook messages with all the details required, but I have received no response. This is particularly disappointing because I have been seriously considering moving to Premium, however I cannot justify paying for a subscription when I cannot get support for what appears to be a relatively straightforward issue.

Fore 5★
Just starting to get back into golf thought would check if there are any apps for golfing. Installed this and was blown away by the detail and the recommendations for clubs to use. Awesome course map and tracked all my shots through my watch. Worked out the distance I had done from walking between the shots. Easy tracking of the round and great recommendations. Well done. Will be using this for all my rounds in future.

Awesome Golf App 5★
I’ve been using this app since I started playing golf in 2020, I’ve tracked every round with it and it’s so easy to use, really nice to go back and see where I’ve played and how I’ve progressed. It’s not absolutely necessary to pay for the extras although the shot tracking system is pretty good for club yardages when you do use it. When there has been any course anomalies, I take a pic of the card and the map and send over to the support team and they’re normally quite quick to fix the problem. Awesome app and has genuinely helped me throughout my golfing journey.

Better than Arccos! 5★
I’ve been an Arccos user for 3/4 years and got bored of paying the high annual fee and its lack of flexibility in choosing between multiple clubs for awkward shots. I love the simplicity of 18B, and also that it’s a monthly subscription. Only played free version so far, which is great. I’ll likely upgrade and pay monthly

Used 18 Birdies for the first time today - I played part of the front nine and part of the back nine, the hole counter new were I was on every hole Fantastic compared to my Garmin watch that looses me and is difficult to select the right hole. Great Information as well !

Overpriced for the quality of service 2★
The app used to be quite good to use on watch while playing. But it now absolutely kills the battery since updates. I have emailed the devs multiple times regarding adding the other tees and course ratings for my home course but never received a response and it has not been updated. Cancelled my subscription because £105 for almost no benefits is not worth while.

Good but issues 3★
Ive used this app for a good while now and i pay attention to detail. Apart from my course having a duplicate with the wrong slope and rating. Which everyone seems to use.. Ive noticed a lot of courses i play at now has the wrong information. Some course will give me a high course handicap for 9 holes as it would 18. Support seems none existent. I want to go pro but its not worth it

Support lacking 3★
I’m a free version user of 2+ years. I would never pay for the full features as I’m not interested in them for the price. The basic app is great, I find the Apple watch integration really good, and it’s helps me work my way around the course. A recent release that buried shot tracking on the third screen of the watch app was annoying. The biggest problem for me is the course details (hole pars, yards, course slope and ratings) not being accurate. The support team used to respond really quickly but my last two requests have gone unanswered. Handicap tracking becomes pointless if the course rating and slope isn’t correct, and inaccurate yardages makes the whole app useless.

Slow when I need it 1★
Paid for the subscription for the year which comes to £100 and the second time I play a course it’s so slow I can’t use it. Just wanted my yardages at the least but it’s lagging so far behind where I am on the course I’ve hit wrong irons multiple times. I’ll see the year out as I’ve paid but then getting rid of it as soon as I can

Time consuming 2★
I played 2 courses. I have an IPhone and I watch. The app is so fully featured, i found it confusing, both in its ooeration and link to my iWatch. I would recommend 18Birdies have a new user level. Golf Course, start, hole, distance. The iWatch should keep track of fairway strikes and the used enter the putts. … Next hole. I am a new user,,and the interruptions introducing new features was a pain. I was trying to play a round of golf with friends, not hold them up whilst losing track on my iWatch. I will look for a simpler App. My colleagues were all using Garmin watches.

Does the job 5★
I’ve used this app for a while now, it’s a very user friendly app, can score on it gives you the course lay out, I do use a watch aswell but like to score for my handicap on this. New to golf or a hard seasoned golf veteran you’ll get along just nicely with this.

Was better before latest update 3★
I’ve been using 18 Birdies over the last year and it was working perfectly, I couldn’t fault it until now. The app constantly crashes and is painfully slow no matter what you’re trying to input. I hope this issue gets sorted out as I’d love to continue using. Currently running the latest version to date.

Customer support is non existent 1★
App would be 5stars but a lot of the courses haven’t been updated in a while. Also a course I play regularly has incorrect slope/rating so scores they aren’t going towards my handicap. I’ve tried to contact customer support but in over a month I haven’t received anything back.

Good app but Needs work 3★
Main problem was my watch battery drained so fast, can get usually get around 36 holes with hole19. battery was dying by hole 16 with 18birdies. Some courses were out of date such as my local so wasn’t able to use as often in the trial as I wanted. The 3d map of the greens is a great part of this app.
GB · recent
Non existent support 1★
No one from support ever replies to a legitimate query about a weird handicap change. Almost two weeks and no reply to multiple messages. Really really poor.
GB · recent
Great but frustration 4★
Used for a while now, pretty good and works with watch although not always perfect it could be a lot worse, my only downside is that the a lot of features are locked away behind premium which I get developers need to make money to run the app but… it’s way to expensive! I would consider paying at a much lower price I honestly think they would make more money selling the quantity of premiums at a lower price

DOWNLOAD IT 5★
This app is honestly insane, it’s such a good app to see where you’ve played the ball where you should be playing the ball. But the best feature is how it shows you the exact course and the different yardages. E.g. 110 to the front of the green, 117 to the pin and then 128 to the back of the green. Just download it and see for yourself. Thank you 18 birdies.

Amazing App Previously 5★
I’ve loved using this app to score and track my shots, hence the 5 stars. However since the most recent update, maybe due to the crown scrolling feature, it’s become absolutely unusable. After hitting a shot and walking to the ball, my watch will now show a completely random hole that it’s skipped to, and not showing the yardage I wanted for that hole, and this happened like 20+ times over 9 holes. I don’t think I had accidentally moved the wheel to navigate to a different hole, maybe so but doubtful, but if this bug can’t be fixed I’d like an option to turn on/off the scroll wheel feature. For the first time in a year I chose not to use the app for my round because of this issue made it completely unusable. When it’s working it’s fantastic, the yardages are very accurate and the UI and UX is great and easy to use.

Great, but potential to be better 5★
Love this app. Use it all the time for excellent scoring, stat tracking and course management but what happened to the leaderboards? I don’t show up on any of them anymore?! Has this become a Premium feature? Seems a bit petty if so. The whole concept of achieving the titular 18 birdies is now defunct as I have no way of tracking how many I have on a particular course currently. I loved the idea of ‘collecting’ them and thought it was kinda underplayed before, but now there’s zero mention it would seem. Also, If you can ever achieve automatic shot tracking, using the watch’s accelerometer or something, it would be a perfect 5-stars and you’d get my money to unlock a feature like that, but not as a subscription I’m afraid. I pay enough to play golf already.

Very good free app; excellent paid app… 5★
I started using this as a free app and found it to be a very good for course/shot planning. Having upgraded to the paid app, I think it’s excellent and has certainly helped in reducing my handicap by making me analyse my game and individual shots more closely. Works particularly well when combining with data entry through my Apple Watch. Shot tracker function could possibly be a little easier to use but good to be able to drag your starting point to where the tee is whilst walking down the fairway. Contacted 18 Birdies about inaccuracies from 2 local courses and the information was updated within 2 days. Excellent service!

Inconvenient shot tracker 3★
Can the shot tracker be smarter please? The default positions are not great at all. The issue is the GPS starts marking your shot where you are when you hit track shot, instead of where the natural starting place should be (e.g. tee box or previous shot). I usually pull my phone out to track shot while I am already walking to the next shot, to keep pace of play. No one wants to stand there after their sho to open phone, open app, select club, track shot. Suggestion: please improve the default initial positions for track shot!! The first shot should default to be from the tee box (obviously!). The second shot should default to start where the first shot finished (obviously!!). If the player needs to make adjustments from there, they can but it is silly to have it the other way around as it is now.

Best One For Me 5★
I have used a few apps including the motocaddy one for the electric trolley. I found 18 birdies the most accurate and best when paired up with an iwatch and iphone. I leave my phone on the trolly to help get a visual of the dog leg courses and use my watch to select the right club based on yardage. The watch is instantly giving all the info required when moving too. Not tried every app but, not disappointed at all with this one. Also, I don't pay for subscription but, everything on unsubscribed is all you really need.

Course not updated 5★
On the recommendation of Youtuber, James Robinson, I downloaded this app and was going to subscribe, however, thought it best to see what it looked like at my club, Wetherby. Unlike most other GPS apps (VPAR, Uswing etc) 18 birdies hasn’t updated the GPS or the card since the new holes were opened 2 years ago. I thought all companies would have taken this data from the same feed - clearly not. I have written to them twice now including a photo of the current card and as yet to receive any response. I do hope they can correct this soon as I am an advocate for assistance such as this (well actually I think they should all be banned and the skill of looking at a shot and selecting a club be returned but as long as they remain legal I fully embrace them) and look forward to making use of the assistance in the not too distant future (I hope).

Great 5★
I only have one negative about 18 Birdies which is on some courses the app isn’t up to date so occasionally you’ll find yourself in a bunker when you didn’t know it was there other than that it’s great. The distances are extremely accurate and I’ve tested them against my range finder. I can keep my stats up to date and I’ve now got a couple of friends that use it so we can keep an eye on how we are progressing. Great App

Not Compatible on Apple Watch 3! 3★
I used 18 birdies throughout last year and used the sync to use yardages and scoring on Apple Watch 3. Recently came to play a round and it had come of my watch. I saw that it had not been compatible since last year however I used it right until a week or 2 ago so figure apple or birdies has made an update which makes it no longer work. Very disappointing as I like the app - there are similar apps which still work on Apple Watch(which I now use) so it’s disappointing it can no longer be accommodated for older model watches

Battery drains after update 5★
Would have given 5 stars as the app is absolutely brilliant love it. So many features and very reliable . Just one thing just recently it updated with heath features and my Apple Watch battery drains real fast , no issue before the update, suppose I’ll turn off the health features see if that improves battery life. Changed my mind I’ll give it 5 stars as I said it’s brilliant.

First Class Golf App 5★
Best golf app I’ve ever used. It’s simply to use and so handy on the golf course. I downloaded premium and it just got even better. Hugely worth it, the only things I would like altering is the strokes gained features to be more accurate and if you have playing partners in a tournament to see where they are on gps as well. Cant wait to see how they improve this app moving forwards

Please add/change watch setting 4★
Absolutely love this app and use it all the time. Please please please make it a setting to where the dial on the watch doesn’t change what hole I’m on. Please make this a setting to enable or disable as I’m sure other people have their uses for it. Played a 160 shot over 200 yards into a car park because it registered me on the wrong hole and was giving me distance to the green behind. Oops. Other than that this app is class.

There's better out there... 2★
The handicap system is completely broken versus basically every other calculator out there, it is grossly over simplified and is terrible for new players who may get disheartened versus others using the the proper handicap system. I worked out my first 20 games I would have a handicap of 27.5 on the proper handicap system but 42(!) in birdies. They are also moving more and more functionality over to the paid for version, including to front and to back of green readings. The premium version can be described as nothing less than extortionate. £7 a week or £70 a year or £20 a month, GFYS. Additionally, you can't seem to easily go back and filter by course, so it's difficult to see how you did versus other times visiting that specific course without scrolling through a ton of unrelated courses you've played recently. Do better, 18birdies.

Great addition for my round 5★
The app is great for the standard GPS shot measurement (save lots of money on a range finder). Even better when using it on courses you are unfamiliar with. However, it is the community aspect that me and my golf pals love it for the most. It is amazing when setting up tournaments and betting between friends and keeping a record of the stats and achievements gained. I went premium for the wind, elevation (etc) readings and they work great.

Blooming good 5★
All of my golfing buddies have downloaded and we’re seriously impressed. The GPS is spot on when compared with range finders, yet to find a course not loaded, easier than writing scores onto a score card and with the added ability to keep track of where improvements can be made. Best golf app bar none, no arguments. Keep up the good work.

Great way to track improvement 5★
As a new golfer I found this app great to record distances achieved with the clubs in my bag which with use of the app on the course has helped me to select clubs during play. I’m sure with experience I’ll get to know but I’ve found this app well worth the time to explore and become familiar with. Definitely Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 👍🏻

Good and bad 3★
This has been a great app to add abit more of a social side of playing with friends, and seeing each others scores. And the gps is quick to update and gives good info about distances to the greens. But as a mid high handicapper, I would love the ability to switch between gross, net, and no score on the watch app, and on the phone screen. These are features other apps have and make it useful addition.

Prepare to be cut 🏌️‍♂️ 5★
I pay for the full subscription. I’ve learnt so much about my game from the app that my handicap has halved. If you’re honest with you distances and clubs the caddy is incredible. I now understand how wind, temperature etc impact my golf shots and in comps, without caddy, I’m playing better. Highly recommended.

Latest update has ruined it 1★
Been using 18Birdies for years now and has been great until the latest update. Feels like a step backwards. App on the watch does not fit to size and is not intuitive. Everything feels in the wrong place and is harder to use. It requires more taps to do the same jobs that I could previously do in less. Does not seem to have been tested with users prior to its release. Hopefully they sort this out but will be trying out other apps in the mean time.

Great to use I re inputted my data from a round at Sawgrass valley and tbh there were so many good things and a lot of points concerning the rules. 18 birdies helped and now I can break 80 it’s even better. I think adjusted 18 birdies would suit most players.

Home course info 3★
App does a reasonable job in terms of gps and stats, although one thing that would be good for the free version that I haven’t seen is being able to nominate a home course and get stats specific for that course so you can identify trends and holes that you are struggling on. Maybe this is there somewhere but not something I have found as yet

Need to fix recent bugs 2★
Have used 18 birdies for a few years, built up lots of stats, however the latest update seems to have broken the connection between Apple Watch and the app. Yours scores either do not sync between the two, or you are unable to see distances on the watch. Have attempted reinstalling and further troubleshooting. Fix this snd it is the perfect golfing app.

Great app but pricy 4★
Used this app for few rounds and I do really like it but it’s not much difference than app like hole19. I think it’s just too pricy compare to other app available on the market with very similar features. Hope to see price drop so I can make this my permanent golf tracking app.

Charged for a 1 year subscription i didnt want 1★
Did a 14 day trial and although I thought it was cancelled i was charged a years subscription upfront. Only realised this when i looked through an old bank statement 4 months after and when I requested a refund (on the basis that i never opened the app after the trial) they refused. I understand it may have been partially my fault but considering they will be able to see data on whether I even used the app then I dont feel this was a fair decision.

So much better than before 5★
This app has come on leaps and bounds over the years. Yardages you can trust and caddie feature is much underrated. The AI Coach is a very interesting price of technology and allows for feedback at a cost effective price ! Only gripe .. Just wish they would allow you to put yardages to the yard and not to the nearest 5. Most of my yardage are like 123 or 133 no to always ideal to round up and down. This would therefore mean caddie feature would be spot on !

Disappointing support after paying for the premium version 2★
I paid for the premium version and noticed some of my rounds were showing as Handicap Not Eligible. These are courses that are showing as eligible for my playing partners. The App isn’t downloading the correct course rating and slope for me. I’ve emailed support and just been ignored. My two playing partners aren’t going to go premium as the app just isn’t working. Based in the UK, there are no deals on rounds to be had either. As a tool for distances and being integrated with my Apple Watch, it’s great, but not dealing with my handicap properly is so frustrating.

The Perfect Golf App 5★
Has all the features you could really ask for in a golf app. The free version is perfect for weekend golfers with multiple side games you can play with your buddies, and the paid version is perfect for your more serious golfers who want to learn the layout and slopes of a course during a practice round. Does this app actually improve your handicap? I would say it minimally improves it by a a couple of strokes but at the end of the day the only true way to get better is by learning how to swing all of your clubs in multiple scenarios.

All around solid, could use a couple tweaks 3★
UPDATE: new UI update is a straight downgrade in every way possible other than adding a shot tracking icon to the main face. Can’t see your +/- on the main face, they opted for a weather icon instead (hello I’m outside I can see what the weather is) and your current score is two swipes over, one through a premium only screen. Next it’s way more annoying to swap between holes in case you accidentally don’t click all the way through your score. The new score keeping system was probably made in a day, big text boxes instead of simple icons for things like fairway hit/miss. Tap through scoring until the last page where you have to scroll down, should be kept consistent either all scrolling are straight tapping through. Can be made way more streamlined too with icons instead of text boxes. New strokes screen is slightly better I guess. Par 3’s ask if I hit the fairway or not, that’s a straight regression. There is no fairway, it’s either a GIR or not. Going to throw off my driving stats because I can’t hit my irons, great Also, the biggest thing that told me whoever designed and approved this new UI doesn’t golf: the distances for front, middle, and back of the green. They have the front distance at the top of the screen and the back distance at the bottom. It’s not a huge deal, but it’s such an obvious oversight that it makes the entire UI feels rushed and messy. Every golf app I like nukes itself to the ground. First the Grint which had the perfect UI blew it all up and put it behind a paywall and now 18birdies. Guess it’s time to go to golfshot, sorry anyone who uses it, I’m sure they’re going to blow it up in a couples months too

It just lacks critical features 3★
I want to use this app, I really do… but 2 things bother me. Stats have absolutely no correlation to the scores on your hole. Yeah, maybe you should just enter the accurate stats, but what if I fat finger the wrong stat and don’t notice it? You literally can record a score of a 3 but say it took 4 putts, 3 chips, 3 penalties and 2 sand shots and it is completely fine with that… why? What is the explanation? The app also lacks automatic shot tracking for every shot using your Apple Watch. It will track your drive on every hole, but after that, you have to manually remember to press track shot which just interferes with your round. If you forgot to hit track shot, you just have to wing it and hope you got it right. At least if the app dropped bread crumbs and the GPS detected your moving around the course you could go back and guesstimate. Real, true swing detection and auto shot track should be a feature. It should also correlate or at least suggest your score based on the swing locations and you should not be able to enter more stroke stats than the actual stroke you took. I really wish they would fix these features because so many other small things about this app are great. Alas… I don’t think these fixes will ever happen.

Great application 3★
I really like the concept of this app. I had to mark down the review because of a recent situation this app has put me in. My wife has been complaining of me “spending too much time golfing” and “not having my priorities straight” shortly after downloading 18 birdies. The application works pretty well but failed to warn me of a ground hog that I domed on the head and significantly deceased his life expectancy. The concept is pretty fun but when I lined up my shot on the app, I hit a tree when I went to take the shot and had me questioning the accuracy of the app but overall it’s pretty good because I can add friends that I wouldn’t have otherwise. The more I write the more I realize that this app has significantly made my life a lot more difficult. I realized that the more time I spend using the application, the less I’ve noticed significant family matters that have appeared recently. After the ultimatum from my wife saying “it’s golf or me” I decided that things might have been taken too far. I quickly told her that my handicap would decrease on 18 birdies if I tried to prioritize her more and she left me. Since then I have been able to focus more on my game and I am currently ranking much higher than before. Overall decent platform

Used to love it… broken shot tracking and GPS watch syncing 1★
I don’t know what happened with latest app update, Apple Watch update, and iOS update but there is NO way to get the watch auto shot tracking working again. Worked fine every time til last week. 100+ rounds this season and now it’s dead in the water. I get gps distances. I even get “shots tracked” in the list on the watch itself…. But it never sinks with round on phone for gps movement anymore. I used to get cool dotted line everywhere I went, and little marks for each shot swung and would just fix em up at the end. Now my Hole by Hole GPS is constantly empty. Nothing. I’ve reinstalled the app, removed it from the watch and back, updated watch and iOS and app version to latest… nothing. It’s made it almost useless as a value add as all I want from premium is the swing auto shot tracking working like it did a week ago. This is horrible and untested in latest version. Get the watch and app gps to map the data as it takes the shots. Even before this if my watch died mid round or on the 17th hole… I’d lose ALL GPS and shot tracking from the watch as it would only sync at the end when finishing the round. I don’t understand why it can’t sync the gps hole by hole and the shots tracked from the watch anytime a hole scores or something. Or even just a button I could push to SYNC it before the watch died manually. Come on. The best feature in the app by far that I had used to replace my ARRCOS is now useless and if I have to renew one subscription it will be the one I can count on consistently to stay updated and work. I don’t want to be mid round hoping it captured all those drives.

Why change something that was working well 2★
I have been using 18 Birdies since it was developed a few years ago. We use it for our Saturday Skins and Birds rounds. Up until the recent, user interface changes it was perfect. Easy to see the leaderboard, players scores, and even guests could be included in the leaderboard. Now the new changes have made this so confusing. We spend more time adding names and having to help the guys who don’t have an account, or the technically challenged players who have no one in the group who is familiar with the app. The interface changes are inflexible. Once you put someone’s name in your group, deleting them doesn’t always remove them from your scorecard. The tournament section is gone and they changed the names of the previous sections so you have to learn the apps terminology. The font is excessively large to the point that you can’t see the entire leader board. After entering your scores there are so many menu buttons to locate what used to be simple prior to the update. I am not sure who requested all these changes or updates, but as a consumer this is my idea of have a great steak and pouring ketchup on it. You ruined it. Please give the user more options to use a scaled down version for scoring.

an amazing free golf app, room for improvement 4★
Like many, I have a group of golf buddies I play with. Many started off with using other golf apps, but I convinced them all to switch to 18Birdies. Why? It has a friendly interface, its GPS tracking is ACCURATE (I double check it with a Golf Rangefinder and they both agree on the distance /- 3 yards), it has every golf course imaginable (even the random small municipal course in your town), and it's a great way to keep track of your progress through all of your rounds (tells you your up to date handicap!). My only complaint is that it always shows your score (how many above par) as you play. In order for me to give a full 5 star rating, 18Birdies needs a setting to turn this off. Golf is as much a mental game as it is a technical/physical game. If I can have a setting to turn off the real-time score keeping (like how it is when you have a handwritten score card), then 18Birdies will be the GOAT of golf apps. For now, it's amazing but room for improvement. I hope to see this change very soon for this season. PLEASE!

The social golf app experience 5★
Used this app as the free version for about a year. I upgraded to the pro when I started taking golf seriously this year. After trying multiple apps I have to say this is my favorite. Pros: - Updates real time yardage very well - Apple watch is an excellent feature - Playing with friends is by far the best things about this app - Tournaments with friends is an amazing feature - Adding the new 3D green reader id something I haven't quite gotten used to yet, but with a few sessions Im sure Ill get used to it! - The course layouts on the maps are spot on! - The pro features are great for golfers trying to see more data on the course * Theres so many features its hard to narrow down my favorites Cons: - At every round I play I always turn on the ‘battery saving’ feature because otherwise my phone wont make it through 18 holes. I see no difference in the real time updates aside from a couple of second latency delay, no big deal though. Features I’d Like to See: After each hole you can input stats for number of shots, shot stats and etc. I’d really like to be able to add notes to the end of that. At the moment theres a notepad for the round, but I hardly use it because it’s “out of the way”. Moving it to the hole-tracker stats would be a HUGE update!!

Golf bucks change 3★
Great app for use on every course I have played so far. GPS is usually very accurate and helps with club selection. One thing they changed though is how many golf bucks (currency used in app to enter contests) you get per round played. You use these golf bucks to get scratch cards for 5 per scratch. You used to get 40-50 per round depending on if you played with another 18Birdies user. And another 10 for sharing your round. Now you get five for finishing a round and one to share your round while the scratch cards are still five per ticket. There are options to share your shots or share your score per hole for five GB each but I don’t understand why that gives you more than playing a full round. I get the social aspect they are pushing but that is going the wrong way with it. I don’t understand that change and had to write a review since they respond to each one it seems like. Just looking for clarification on the golf bucks change. It used to be my favorite part of the app and kept me coming back to it but now with that change, golf bucks seem pointless now

Good but could be a whole lot better 3★
The major problem with the app is when using the Apple Watch. Yardages are not consistent. Example; I could be standing on a par 3 tee box and look for yardage say 140 yds. The next time I raise my wrist it displays 709 yds. And it doesn’t change til I move 10-20 yds away. These yardage discrepancies could happen anywhere and almost always every time that I use the watch a 2nd 3rd 4th time. As I stated this is only with the Apple Watch. When I use the phone yardage is always correct. This is quite annoying and does nothing to speed up play. I am currently in touch with someone from support and watch is configured as the app directs. I have deleted and reinstalled the app on both the watch and iPhone and has not improved and phone and watch os are up to date. The other thing is with support he claims that I am not responding to his emails, which I am, so there is delays in him responding to my questions. I don’t know whether there is a problem with your email system. I will follow up with another review when and If they can get it working.

Used to be best, Apple Watch apple no longer works 2★
By far an away the best golf app I’ve used for tracking scores and GPS. The nice thing about it was how quickly you could throw your strokes, putts, penalties, etc. via the Apple Watch app. It would seamlessly move to the next hole, have very accurate distances, just the best. But now the Apple Watch app no longer works. I’ve tried all the suggestions the forums and stuff have said, and it still buggers out — I attempt it every week when I play. To me, I want something that is easier than writing a score on the card, and utilizing the watch app was the way to do that. I don’t want to have to pick up my phone to enter in the scores — might as well just write it in. I’ve had to move to a different app so that I can use the Apple Watch. It’s really too bad because I had been using it for years without an issues. This issue should have been resolved as soon as the bug came to light. I’m to the point now where I won’t even check to see if it’s working, and probably won’t look back once I get used to these other apps.

Getting worse 2★
May have to switch golf apps. I’ve liked the app very much and think it’s well developed, but don’t care for recent changes that will have me looking elsewhere. The ‘solid shot’ feature, while well intentioned, is annoying and pretty worthless. Leave it as a buried option, but make it less prominent. The GPS and tracking seems to be less accurate than previously. I regularly had been using as a striving-to-improve amateur the shot tracking feature that was available with the free version, but now is only available as an advanced feature with paid subscription. Honestly, I would consider paying for the app, but $99 a year is exorbitant, especially as most the other golf apps are nowhere near that and I’m a 2-3 times a month golfer, if that. A lot of the advanced features seem nice, but are more than I need currently. The shot tracking is very nice to have to improve club distance knowledge. I would consider a one-time fee app or paid ‘lite’ version with fewer features including shot tracking, but not worth current subscription price. It’s really too bad.

Don’t work on Apple Watch now!!!! 1★
Used this app for a while now, worked great on Apple Watch now it never gives me the distance on my watch! Then googled the issue and it said you only get the distance on your watch if you pay for the membership after being able to do it on the free version! Even paid for a week to see if it was true ($7.99) and the for 3 rounds it did not work even with the paid version, canceled it, had 3 days before it expired then it showed the distance on the Watch so I paid for the week again to see if it just takes a few days to work, stopped working again on my watch then got a 30% off the year membership email if I renew! Updated watch, deleted the app on watch then re installed and still did not give distances! Also use to keep score on watch and it shows on the phone app but now you have to put the scores in on the watch and the phone or just one and the other one will not keep score! Now I don’t use the watch because it’s pointless now, back to using my garmin watch since I can’t seem to use this app on the Apple Watch now

Watch and phone 5★
I’ve used the app for years and been a premium member for the last 2 years. I’ve turned many of friends onto the app. Recently however my phone to watch hasn’t been working properly. I use both at the same time. I usually just use the watch for quick yardages and phone for club sugestions, distances to hazards, and keeping score for me and those playing with me. Problem has been when I enter the score on my phone it jumps to the next hole but my watch app doesn’t switch automatically with the phone. It used to but now I have to manually change the hole on my watch. I’ve emailed support but never got a response other then the auto response. It records the score on my watch that I enter on the phone but won’t change holes

A lot to like, couple suggestions 4★
I used the app for one round, being a long time user of GolfShot GPS (15+ years) and really liked the experience. I liked the full-screen aerial look and the graphics looked great and were well sized and placed on the screen. What I really liked was how well a job it did to auto-track where I hit my shots from. It was easy to piece together after entering scores for the hole to adjust any mid-read locations. Where I docked a star for the app is for 2 reasons: 1: No linkage to GHIN for posting scores. I like how it is integrated perfectly in GolfShot GPS….I am not going to use a secondary means to enter scores to GHIN, so until 18 Birdie does provide that functionality , I’m out. 😕 2: I have hundreds of scores (and thus data) in GolfShot GPS. Without the ability to batch import those scores into 18 Birdies, I will be very reluctant to make the switch and lose all that history.

I want to like 18Birdies 3★
Please stop getting worse. This app was fine not long ago…. Now you can’t add tracked shots retroactively after your round. Sure, you may not be tracking them “live”, but I can still remember more or less exactly where I was when I hit the shot and where it landed… and now I can’t add tracked shots after I finish a round. So stupid. Also, I play at country land golf course in cumming, Georgia… and the new gps picture you guys have allowed to load for our course is so profoundly inaccurate it makes my tracked shots look awful. I’ll hit a fantastic GIR in the center of the green and when I track it, it appears as if it’s off the back of the green 20 yards from its actual location. These things are making me seriously consider switching to the another app that I already have downloaded. Starting to wish I didn’t pay for the premium membership. Gonna make sure it doesn’t auto-renew

Great app but… 4★
I’ve been using 18 birdies when there wasn’t so many users where I would win lots of their prizes when they had the drawings, too bad they don’t offer that anymore, but anyways.. back to the app, I think it’s still a great app and I like how they are starting to incorporate games with other players in the group, but my one and only biggest issue is the fact that I can’t input other players score into the app on my APPLE WATCH for added convenience, because I’m sure y’all know how hectic it can get sometimes to pull out your phone.. “golf game book” does allow you to input others score through the Apple Watch.. I like keeping my rounds saved with 18 birdies, but it is also great to know where everyone’s at for the round at a glance.. if y’all could add that feature, that would be a great added feature for everyone..

Golf school 5★
I downloaded the app for tracking distance and keep score but then I thought to myself to just buy the full version and boy am I glad I did. I’m not a good golfer, my shots are hit or miss. Sometimes I can drive 240 yards and then I’d be lucky to hit 80 and the more I try the worse it gets so… after buying the full version I tried the swing analyzer and all spots were red, nothing I was doing was ever right and the 240 yard balls I sometimes hit was pure luck of accidentally getting it right. I’ve been practicing to fix my posture and swing and what do you know I whacked my driver 270+- yards, I tried doing it again and hit it again and again. Not always 270 but consistent. That alone is worth $100 and the tracking distance and other stuff is a bonus.

Good but needs work 4★
I have tested out several GPS apps. I like 18B because of the layout and user interface. It’s clean and provides the type of info and stat tracking I’m looking for. I’m not into the social aspect but if more of my friends had it, maybe I would be. I agree that the shot Tracking system currently in place is essentially unusable and complicated so I choose not to use that feature. I can’t speak about premium features as I only have free version now. One thing I would like to see added is a list of things like: yards to a dogleg; yards to layup, yards to bunker, yards to front, middle, back of green etc like other apps offer. Sometimes it’s just easier to quickly see the distances already calculated rather than zooming in with my finger to pinpoint the location. If this could be incorporated, it would improve on an already great foundation.

Miss having Apple Watch app. Won’t sync. 5★
I have tried all suggestions including logging out of iPhone app, rebooting both iPhone and Apple Watch. Lots of frustration when I used to have no issue in starting my round. Watch app is great when it syncs with iPhone app. Just hasn’t been useful in for a few weeks. The developer responded letting me know that they were aware of the issue and had an update for the app and the watch app that should resolve the issue. After updating the apps on my iphone and watch, I was able to play a round of golf today using the watch and iPhone - it was great having it back - I will update my review again if anything changes. Thanks to the developers for resolving this issue and making the apps useful again.

Was great but smart tracking needs work 5★
I really have enjoyed using this app and been manually tracking all of my rounds. However I played my first with smart tracking today land it wasn’t great. I use to mindlessly hit all of my shots and just track with the app. I now find with smart tracking and me now having to manually account and enter my score that the shot elections it chooses or not after at all, and even worse I can’t edit them after the hole. I find that this is turned shot tracking completely useless because now my shots are not accurate to what I actually hit. I am highly disappointed in this update and hope that they will bring back at least the option for manual tracking.

Great app, One suggestion 5★
This is a fantastic app and has gotten much better with the new autostat feature. One problem I have with it that most players probably don’t realize. TLDR; Make it possible to get back into a round and use the GPS if you accidentally finish the round. Make it easier to change round settings. My local course doesn’t have tee times. As a member, I don’t even have to tell them I’m playing a round, I just hit the range and then go to the tee box. I can also just start on the 10th. So I often don’t even know if I plan on playing 9 or 18. Here’s the problem: If I choose 18 and then later decide I only want to play 9, the app is finicky about changing that. Especially if I started on the 10th hole. So, I started choosing 9 holes at the beginning of every round, since it’s easier to change from 9 to 18, rather than 18 to 9. But now when I finish the 9th, I accidentally click “finish round” and then there is no way to get back into the round. Even if I don’t fully submit the round, I can’t get back and use the gps. I can change it to 18 and then manually type in my scores, but still can’t use the gps. This is my biggest problem.

Amazing app 5★
This app is fantastic. I tried a bunch of apps that have similar features and this one was by far the cleanest, most updated, and well laid out app. It also has the most features in front of the paywall that I’ve found, but Premium gives you awesome additional features. The GPS is super useful, entering stats is super simple and doesn’t take you out of the game. You can keep as thorough stats as you want. I like that I can add my exact clubs. They even had my ‘94 Big Bertha irons. They didn’t have one of my more obscure old clubs, and I emailed them asking if there was a reason, and they replied that I should refresh because they added them. Can’t beat that customer service. This feels like it was made by people who really enjoy golf, and less of a “company” if that makes sense. The social aspect is a fun way to keep in touch with friends and see their progress and easily add them to a score card. Love the app! Features I would love: • Automatic handicap calculator (I know this is being worked on to meet the new calculation methods) • Green slope maps (even if its Premium only) • Add a ball path tracer AI (maybe as part of the existing AI. Would be fun to share in the social area, and also see your ball flight

Terrible 5★
Scam Billing Practices - while holding a premium account the app continued to serve me renewal request ads while my current paid subscription was good for another 4 months. So what of course happens one day while setting it up to play I tap the wrong button as they make the “x” tough to see especially in the sunlight and thus with one click. They literally signed me up for another subscription and charged me $106 and refused to refund me. So one subscription is set to expire June 20, 2025 and the other March 14th, 2026. Per the Apple Store it’s in their terms and agreement. In absolute scam. I’m currently disputing with my bank having to go through the fraud department for resolution. I prefer “The Grint” you don’t come across great product and less bugs.

Honest opinion 4★
Absolutely love this app. Have been a user for 3 years and a paid subscriber for the last 2/2.5. I actually stopped using my range finder and locking on the pin. Exclusively use the app for distances to front, middle and back of greens. Have seen my scores drop by 2-4 strokes around once I quit pin hunting. The only thing I would change is the green feature when using the watch. I wear my watch on my right hand and I’m sure it is the same for the left. It would be nice and helpful if I could rotate the green on the watch to the correct orientation depending on where I am in the green in relation to the hole. It would benefit both right hand and left hand users of the watch. It would make it easier to read the break of the green if it was orientated to where a person is on the green rather than turning your wrist to get a clearer picture of the slope and break. Like I said. Wonderful product and will continue using. Not really a complaint just maybe an idea to make it a little better. One other change I’d like to see. I would love for the scores to automatically link to the GHIN app so we don’t have to go enter our scores on the app itself. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Great interface, so so Apple Watch experience 4★
I’m really close to putting my money where my mouth is for this app but there is one glaring issue preventing me from doing so. Distances on my Apple Watch Series 3 GPS+Cellular are rarely if ever coming from the watch GPS. When I am riding I don’t want my phone in my pocket, so I have to be cognizant of where I park the cart so I get a good idea of the distance. Sometimes when I am walking to my ball from the cart, the distances are from my watch but that might be 2 holes a round. I did see a note from the dev about disabling Bluetooth on the watch temporarily but that seems to be a bit of a silly work around. Maybe Apple doesn’t provide an API to ensure the distances are coming from the watch but as soon as this part of the app is reliable, I will pay because everything else about this app is worth it.

Great app but…. 5★
This app is so close to being the best golf companion you can have. Easy to use but it seems over the last year or so the developers stopped improving the app. So many of the features are just so dead like booking tee times, betting, group play, etc. Little customization things like not having a dark mode or not allowing you to link your logical USGA Handicap is also holding this app back. Interface feels very 2020, and it needs a refresh with focus on getting the full potential out of the app. I’ll use it over The Grint and other similar apps during my rounds, but will keep going to the others to enter my score officially. This app could be amazing, but just needs a little more focus. LETS GO DEVELOPERS.

Has everything just needs a few things 4★
I’m going to start this off by saying this is the best overall golf gps app period. I use this religiously to keep all my stats and keep track of all my buddies rounds now that we’ve moved away from each other. It’s really cool to get the live updates from my friends rounds and see how they are playing! No other app does it like this! I just have a few suggestions that would make this the perfect golf app. #1 I would love a more animated style to the courses, think garmin or GolfLogix. I have issues with some courses using the satellite photos are basically unusable by not being able to see what’s going on and I think using a more animated style would help at a glance see what’s going on clearer. #2 I think like a flyover view would be amazing. Being able to have a track man like trace as a ball flight down the fairway and onto green would help so much with visualizing a shot. Overall this is the best app period. If you are serious about playing the best golf you can and wanting more insight into how you are playing I don’t think anything else comes close and gives you the social features as well. Good work to the devs on this!

It’s good.... update okay 3★
The last major update really made me stop using the app. They are correcting some things. But the one thing they have not corrected yet is scoring simplified. It use to be you enter your score and other players scores popped up immediately to finish your card. Now you have to close yours, swipe up, find the player, find the icon, and then put their score in for each person. All this in the sun clearing screen on a golf course where electronics really should be in the background, not dealing with it all the way to the next hole. To be honest I haven’t used the app since the first tome I tried it on the course and couldn’t stand how long it took to enter in everyone’s score. I try it again every update to see if it’s fixed at home. But it’s still not and that is disappointing. So many good things, but this problem really overshadows them for me.

Won’t sync to Apple Watch 5★
I’ve been using this app for a couple years now and loved it. However as of about a week or so ago the app wit not sync to my Apple Watch. I don’t know if this is a problem with Apple or the app but it is very frustrating that I can’t get it on my watch anymore! And with it not syncing to my watch it drains my battery on my phone very quickly! If it’s a problem with the app I hope they get it fixed quickly if not we’ll see what Apple does! Update to my review, it was not a problem with the app but a problem with my watch. I got in touch with Apple and we got my problem resolved so since the problem has been rectified I will update my rating to five stars

Stunning interface, abysmal Apple Watch experience 3★
So sad. The app is stunning on the phone. All of the premium features are worth the 99$... but I am obsessed with only using the Apple Watch on the course, and it was a disaster. 2 mains problems. 1. The yardages, omg... the phone is always 3 feet max from the watch. And every other app I’ve test driven on this course had no problem with the yardages. But this one is a nightmare. 130 yard par 3, says 366. I have to pull the phone out of the bag, unlock it, and then MAYBE the yardage matches the phone. Unplayable, unusable. 2. After you record your score and move to record putts, it starts you at the bottom of that page, and you have scroll up to record putts, and then scroll back down to move to next hole... this seems like a temporary bug, or their UX designer is on vacation. Devs, product managers, what would make this app perfect for the Watch. The UI is stunning, UX has some very simple adjustments. This is very easy. Just go play a round with it lol. Please, add layup yardages.. to start, how about just distance to a 100, 125, 150 lay up? Distance to hazards and over hazards would be amazing. Golf Logic does it.. but that’s a big project. I’ll be checking back, this is the best app for the phone.. more or less, but Watch is far far behind. Good luck.

Ok Love this app now 5★
Ok, at the beginning I did not like this app. Now I realize it was because I did not understand the full capabilities of this app. I initially thought it just provided the overview of the course. It is so much more. This app is for serious golfers who want to track their stats and analyze their swing. I started doing both and am now addicted to the app. It has provided many insights on the parts of my game to improve. It also provides simple drills (in video form) to help correct even the subtle quirks the cause a loss in power, distance and accuracy. The premium version is worth the $100 yearly rate. I will renew when the subscription runs out. Most unfortunate that I only realized the full capabilities after few months; but glad I did.

Great features and easy to use! 5★
I have been using 18Birdies for a while now and absolutely love it. The app is intuitive to use and I have tried a few other apps and this is amongst the best. Off late I see that it is able to even track my walking and track my shots even if I don’t manually do it, like my drives or my second shot… which I try to keep track, but sometimes forget or get lazy. I see a white dotted line along my walking path and I can add shots after the round. It allows me to keep track of my fairway hits, chips, putts, penalty, green-side sand shots. I use the free version, I do see the prompt to get the paid features, but no biggy…I just decline. I love it!

App Heading in the Wrong Direction 3★
I have been using this app for about a year and used a premium membership for a few months as well. As far as golf scoring apps go, this is one of the best. However, one of the main things that differentiated this app from others was the DreamGames features. DreamGames allows you to spend GolfBucks (earned by playing rounds and sharing items in the news feed) for entries in prize drawings. I have won a towel, a hat, a box of golf balls, and even a $150 gift card. This is what kept me coming back to the app each day. Unfortunately, they recently made a change to the way golf bucks are earned by significantly reducing the payouts for various activities. For example, sharing a golf round used to pay a total of 50 golf bucks and now it only pays 5. I expect the reason they did this is because people exploited the previous system to accrue thousands of golf bucks. I feel like the developers are really missing the point on this one, as there are many users like myself that will stop using this app if things continue down this road. The scoring features are good, but they really aren’t better than the other apps out there. If 18Birdies can’t get control of Golf Bucks distribution they will lose much of their user base

Free version is great - paid version not so much. 1★
I have been using the free version of 18 birdies for about a year. Loved it simplicity. It gave me what I needed - distance to green, length of shots, recorded my average club distance. It was great. I thought I would upgrade to the paid version to give a little back to the developers for such a great app. But the paid version is terrible. It’s junked up with so many extras that are useless (for me) and makes it extremely difficult just to do the simple things - like record a shot from the tee. In my latest round today, it missed more than half my shots. Not because it didn’t detect my swing - but because the program kept overriding my manual input. I am at the point where I am going to find another simple golf app, and I will come back to 18 birdies when my year subscription ends and I can use the free version again. It’s that bad in my hands.

Cool app for any Player trying to improve their golf game 5★
This app is or pretty cool and very useful. It can replace taking notes on a scorecard as well as track important stats like fairways hit(even has option to Indicate direction ball was off the Fairway), greens hit, number of chip shots, and most important for myself personally is number of putts per hole. I knew that I needed to work on my putting but I had no idea how many strokes per round it was costing me. At least 17 per round, birdies putted into double bogeys, it’s very frustrating but gives you an idea of where you want to get some practice in. Overall cool app, download if you are serious about your game and enjoy using technology to learn how you can improve your scores.

Apple Watch Update for 18Birdies subscription 4★
I love 18Birdies the app for scoring and keeping track of all of my rounds. One of my golf buddies and I wanted to take advantage of the premium subscription, which give you more data, reads and club selection. It has been a useless function on the phone, to have to constantly keep your phone on you throughout the round, might as well have a rangefinder. After almost a year of having the subscription 18Birdies updated the apple watch functions that now allows you to have all those capabilities. I feel much better about this, however feel like I lost my whole year of subscription without the features that make the subscription worthwhile.

Does not always work 2★
Play a course yesterday where this app just would not work. Would tell it what hole I was on and it would say I was two holes behind that. Also one update charge the way to advance the hole on the watch that requires you to tap on the watch, tap on the hole you are on, scroll to the next hole, tap on that and hopefully you get the right data. I like this app about two updates ago, now just frustrating to use. Update: reason for issues on my home course is at one time it was 3 separate 9 hole courses and you would get told which courses you were playing when you checked in. Since the course changed to one 18 hole course and a 7 hole exec course. So to use it on my home course you have to make sure you select the proper two 9 holes courses in the app. Should fix to update to the one 18 hole course.

Apple Watch health NEEDS improving 3★
App itself is great but if you’re going to push using Apple Watch then you need to be on par with other apps. The basic thing that should be working is workout tracking. There should be no reason why this app can’t also track and log the golf round as a golf workout. Golfshot can do it so it’s definitely possible. Not sure why this is missing. As far as the app, only issue I faced is finishing a round. Wouldn’t finish because I missed a chip log. I had to go through all my shots and finally see that the math didn’t add up on one. I fixed that and it let me finish the round. Would be nice to have an indicator where there is something not adding up when I try to finish a round so I can quickly go back to the hole and fix the error

Expensive but worth it 5★
Although there are many features you can use for free, the premium version of the app is where it truly shines. If you take the time (which admittedly can be a hassle while playing a round of golf) you can really track some interesting stats about your golf game. I also find that the yardages are quite accurate in my experience which can help any golfer not able to spend the money for a quality range finder. Overall very solid app, if the premium was a little cheaper that would make it much more accessible for beginner golfers or golfers that don’t have a ton of money to spend for the premium features.

First experience 5★
So I reviewed 4 other similar apps and was interested in the one that would best work on an Apple Watch. My intent was to start the round on my phone and let it work on the Apple Watch from start to finish. After watching user video and signing up for the premium service I’m an disappointed to report it did not work as advertised. I downloaded the app, confirmed it was available on my Apple Watch and even tried a dry run before my round. Then when I started my round to learn that there was zero gps updates during my round on my Apple Watch or on my phone. The only thing that worked was that the app recognized the course I played but never the yards to the green. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Hi, For now I can only think of is the visual of your screen ,I think it should be a virtual look,,, as soon as you look at your screens, I think you should easily understand what is going on !!!!!!maybe the size of letters or components for easy seeing!!!!! Also maybe colors to show different items on the screen.. some colors are noticeable more than others ,,, maybe have important things seen a certain color and less important thing’s another color!!!!for noticeability,,, Hi ,,to whom it may concern ,if this helps or you use it in any way ,can you reach out to me for possible compensation,, or proper credit , for my idea,.

Handicap 4★
I love this app so far with using it. I spent all of last year trying to track everything among appx 3-4 different apps to see which I liked more. I think I may have settled on 18 birdies. The only thing so far I wish was different is that I'm the handicap and you only play a 9 hole round that they would, like some other apps, not just double a 9 hole score but that they would add two different 9 hole rounds together. That way different 9 hole rounds at different courses would have a different slope etc and in my head I guess, it would reflect a slightly different handicap. I don't build apps or anything but I imagine if others can do it that it might not be too difficult to add for them in an update.?

Good Good 5★
I love this app so much. I got told to use the grint app but that app gives you an estimated handicap and doesn’t work without Wi-Fi. 18 birdies does work without Wi-Fi and gives you a accurate handicap. I will use the app forever, and I recommend it to those who want a good golf app. It also displays the data well of missed putts etc. It needs to be published that it works without Wi-Fi. For me I like an app that doesn’t use Wi-Fi because it is just more efficient. I am pretty sure it only works without Wi-Fi if you are using the gps and score card. I might be wrong but that is what I think. I know you can use the scorecard and gps though without Wi-Fi.

Good App but Apple Watch needs Phone nearby. 4★
I use the paid version of the app. I’m happy with it, but one thing they’re lacking is the ability to use the GPS chip in the Apple Watch for your distances. Instead they rely on the GPS chip in the phone which means your phone needs to be with you during your shot for the most accurate distance. I much rather keep my phone in the Golf Cart charging and playing music than in my back pocket while I’m making shots. Many of the other apps now provide the ability to do this and have settings within the app to turn it on. The absence of this feature unfortunately has me looking at some of these other apps. I might be switching very soon.

I have been golfing pretty much my whole life. This last year, I have truly been playing though every week. I downloaded the app and have the Premium Version and I love how it tracks my shots so I don’t need to keep count when I start getting into my double bogeys!😂 I highly recommend it for anyone who is new and needs some tips. Or for people who are just trying to improve there game. Also the AI Swing Analyzer/School section has truly helped improve my game! Thank you 18 Birdies! I have checked out other apps also have this similar kind of deal. 18 Birdies 100% is the top of the totem pole on Apps for Golf without a doubt!

They wrecked shot tracking this week 5★
Used to love this app and rely on it - tracking shots on my watch easily. Suddenly a week ago, the button to track a shot is gone, and it’s replaced by a hard sell to buy the pay version. Can still track a shot but it’s klutzy and I can’t both track a shot and see the distance to the hole. I’d almost pay for it, but this developer can’t be trusted not to just wreck it again in the future next time they want to force feed you another paid feature. I’m looking for something else - maybe it’s just back to sprinkler markings, a range finder, and a pencil.

Great app! Feature request: 4★
Love tracking my stats, helps me figure out where I need to focus my practice and improve. Like others have said, it’s like having your own caddie with birds-eye GPS helping immensely with shot planning. Can you MAKE all of my friends join? Lol Feature request: when viewing certain stats under “Me”, I would love if I could tap directly on date/round-specific areas of the stat readout and jump directly to that round to see the scorecard and the rest of the stats for that round. As it is right now if I’m looking at say, history of Putts per Hole under stats, under “Me”, and I want to look at the round I played on 5/13, I have to back out and navigate to my round history, remembering the date, and find that entry in round history. Additional feedback: it would be nice to be able to cancel a sent friend request, and/or un-friend someone. Sometimes we fat-finger it and didn’t mean to send a request to a stranger and currently the only solutions are to block them (which seems drastic), or to say “oh well, guess I’m friends with this stranger forever now”.

Non-refundable 2★
I used the free trial for this app and I did not like the function. The app was off on most yardages, and it was very slow and difficult to pull anything up to the point of being aggravating. It is very useful for tracking handicaps and it is still mostly correct on the yardages but it is just not something I care to use. At this point, before the trial ended, I cancelled my subscription. At least I thought I did. But when the time rolled around to pay the subscription I was charged $100 for it. I immediately cancelled the subscription, deleted the app, and tried to appeal to get my money back because I was not going to use this app ever. It was deemed not eligible for a refund. So now I am down $100 for nothing.. I don’t hate the app or anything, it’s just quite disappointing.

It WAS good...but now they want $$$ 2★
I used to love this app. In fact I turned on so many buddies on to this. It’s so great! Well, it used to be! Apparently, now to create a tournament with my buddies, I need to pay a monthly or yearly subscription??? Really? $5/mo or $50/yr??? What really? Seriously? Look, I’m fine with buying an app, but a subscription model for a cool app that I may use 5-10 times a year? At most? More likely 2-3 for those super fun outings where we actually make a tournament! This is a total fail by 18 Birdies and just goes to show ya that nothing is ever really free. Even when they still give you ads. Here’s a thought 18 Birdies team...give the free account level like 5 tournaments a year. A casual user would be fine with that. If I’m someone that’s playing more tournys than that a year, then it would make sense for me to buy up my subscription level.
