You can not just sync to your phone calendar with the app if you have a Samsung phone. If you have an iphone it takes 4 seconds! Been searching hours and no way will work.

Won't sync to anything on my phone. My iPhone friends seem to have no problems. Manual entries needed for me.

Lack of calendar subscription on android is the worst. My wife can subscribe on her iPhone, but I can't.

They need to make it easier to sync with outlook Calendar. App to App functions don't sync... Apparently if you use an iPhone it's easier.

The free app used to get you availability of players...Now you have to pay $10 a month PER team for that feature... The app itself is five stars, the money grab is the reason for the low rating.

This app is pretty much useless without having to pay a monthly subscription... i realized there is a subscription to use the availability tracker which is all we used it for. I will no longer be using it for my team.

You have to subscribe just to have it sync with your calendar... Heja requires you to subscribe to a calendar that is unique to the user which means you can't share calendar events in a shared family calendar.

this doesn't have external calendar syncing to put games into your calendar either unless you pay. Its included free on Spond!

It worked briefly, but the app now says there's a payment problem." This reviewer paid for calendar sync and is reporting a billing/reliability bug afterward, not paywall outrage — a 4-star rating confirms it's not the same reaction as the paywall complaints above. Worth keeping only as a reliability data point (even willing payers hit billing failures), not as corroboration of the paywall pattern.

the calendar function on TeamSnap can take 'days' to update your Google calendar. TeamSnap tech support acknowledges Apple products are updated quickly, while it can take 'days' for calendar updates to arrive for your Google calendar.

I update a attending status to going to the game but doesn't update the calendar in Google for DAYS. One time it worked within 2 hours but every other time I am waiting 48 hours.

The directions it provides for syncing to your google calendar is not available. So paying the extra fee is not worth it when you still have to do extra work.

each individual entry is synched separately, and when leaving a group/team, it's a nightmare to clean up manually. The same when e.g. training time changes: You get duplicate entries and will have to delete one individual entry for each and every date.

any adjustments to calendar, like cancellation will keep the original calendar date and set up a new event that is cancelled. Also, when trying to move a date on an entry in the calendar.. sets up a new entry and leaves the old as is. Need the revision capability... and then it's 5 stars for me!

When you save to the calendar it would be nice when schedules change that the calendar would update or ask you to update these changes versus causing duplicate calendar entries.

Can't edit just one event for a reoccurring event even if I select 'edit this event only'. Very frustrating.

Biggest issue lately is when I edit 'this event only' (operable word being ONLY), it updates all events. Has caused confusion with my team many times with events showing as cancelled, different time or location unbeknownst to me.

If I add a recurring event on the schedule and try to change just one day, it changes the whole series!

It's all or nothing really. You can't just sync the events you want to attend, you have to sync all the events that are happening within your club. This has been an issue for a few years now... Shame as it's a good app otherwise.

Shocking that you can't base selection on a match, just a day. Where multiple matches are on same day, so you select 'yes' or 'no' for all fixtures.

when you set your availability you are solely doing it for that date and not specificity if there are several matches/squads that take place on that day, meaning all teams you are 'seen' in get a notification you can play?!

the calendar feature requests full access to all calendars on the device. Instead, it should export an ical link without requiring access to read and edit.

if you give acces to calendar it will copy all events to your calendar, not just ones you select to attend. added a year worth of events to clog up my calendar. please fix.

Needs to support different timezones properly. Game schedules are currently a mess.

The times don't line up on your phone app and web browser. There is an hour difference! So frustrating.

TeamSnap's own developer replied to this review: "Sorry about that. We are working on a release that should address the time issues. It should be out in the coming weeks. Hang in there." — a company admission of the bug at first report. Twelve years and multiple further reports later (8585, 8086, 4584), the identical failure mode was still live — it was never the "coming weeks" fix promised.

The times are an hour earlier than the team manger enters!... My husband's app is right on iPhone but my version in android is one hour behind!

Very disappointing to have time zone issues changing event times on edit... Time is set correctly via webpage but on editing team selection with the app, the time changes since we are in CET and not BST.

Ever Since I went on Holiday to a different Time zone, my Spond email notifications... are showing incorrect time. I have indeed updated my Time Zone to a correct one and it shows fine in the App but incorrect in the emails.

On one phone, the times show an hour off from the other phone (e.g., 6pm CST vs 7pm CST). Even more confusing is that the home feed on one phone shows 6pm CST for the practice, 7pm CST when listed on the schedule page, and 7pm CDT when the event is opened!!!

I've had different screens show different times for the same event because the app can't figure out time zones.

My son missed training because for some reason the app said training was 20:00 until 21:00 when on other parents app showed time was 19:00 until 20:00... we compared 5 of us and none displayed the same information... caused a lot of arguments, back to WhatsApp for us.

Why would you not make the time zone setting sync to whatever your phone is? I had no idea this app decided to just randomly have its own setting and decided to set itself to a timezone I might have been in when I installed it and am not in most of the time causing me to miss an event.

Since about 2 weeks ago, when our manager sends out the kick off times, they display 1 hour early for me and a few other parents. I have not travelled in different timezones.

...it sends push notifications to you phone and there is no apparent way to disable that... I don't need an app polling to put something in my system tray reminding me to set my availability for the game, too. Whether I'm in the minority or the majority, there is no reason to put out an app that doesn't have an option to disable that.

It just keeps sending endless notifications for events you aren't even attending. It's so bad.

App itself is fine. Notification filtering is BADLY needed (e.g. per group, message/invite/post, even per event). Should be simple to implement.

Please stop with the "Check your schedule" notification spam, or at least provide a way to disable it.

Decided to delete my account and uninstall the app after notification and email spam from hell. Every day I got numerous notifications AND emails to respond to an invite... I really wish I wouldn't also receive emails reminding me to respond as this just feels invasive to me.

the spam is out of control. starting around nov 2025 this app started spamming daily via email and notifications. there isn't a way to turn off specific notifications - it's either all or none.

notifications/emails are really persistent regardless of my settings I first disabled notifications, but still they kept coming. I then deleted the app. Then I got bombarded with emails, so I unsubscribed from all emails, but still the emails come! When will it end?
