My friends only used to play on Sundays which meant if I weren’t available for that specific slot I wouldn’t be able to play that week. As I got older and life became more busier there were a lot of weeks when I couldn’t play at that slot. This app gave me the chance to play on other days and times and I’m so grateful for this as my playing days would probably have been coming to an end without it. Thank you ❤️⚽️🙌🏽

Flexible platform, but concerns around inclusivity in sessions
Good flexibility to join games, but my experience raised concerns around inclusivity and how player feedback is handled. After providing feedback on session behaviour, I was blocked by an organiser with no opportunity to discuss it. This raises questions about how ‘co-ed’ sessions work in practice.

What a great app I’m in my 40s and wanted to start playing football again. Was recommended this by a guy on Reddit. It’s so easy to use and great for picking and choosing games to play.

A good app if you live in a busy area
Not exactly the developers fault but there are virtually zero games listed on here in my area, looks like a good app in practice but only if you live in a densely populated area

Fantastic concept
When I moved to London I barely knew anyone, and footy addicts gave me a great platform to make a group of friends while staying healthy. I hadn’t played football regularly for a few years but the more I played the more I got back into the swing and enjoyed it more and more. It’s great to have the flexibility to play any night of the week, and weekends too!

Great football app if you want to find football games around you. Easy to use to sign up for the games and pay for them. You can view games in advance (2-3 weeks) to sing up early.
Basically has all we need as the players and mostly the games run every week as the demand is higher than available spaces.

I honestly thought my football journey had come to an end. I moved to this place six months ago, and even though I used to play football regularly before, I felt like I had lost that part of my life after moving.
Then I found this app and everything changed. This app connected me with an amazing football community, and joining them has been a real pleasure.

Good variety of games to play throughout the week and weekend. Levels don’t matter and enjoyable games that gets you out and gets the fitness up. Lads that play are great and the folk running the app are doing a great job of managing it. Always improving and adding additional games on various locations, well done.

Only joined Footy Addicts in 2024. Was wanting to play again after not playing for a few years. App is so easy and simple to use. Can look at the pitches local to me, time and availability. Then book your place if it suits 👍

Brilliant app - has got me back into playing football after years of not really doing enough exercise. Now my Friday night game is something I look forward to every week. Takes all the stress out of herding cats trying to get a group of mates together.

App is the best and so is the concept. Should be slightly cheaper because all the owners making a profit. A bit annoyed that when I want to book it personally in my local area, I know it has been booked out by you and others. There should be a system in place to report those who are late or do not show up, that would be a game changer!
The dream app for the casual player
I love playing football but have a pretty unreliable work schedule stopping me from joining a team who plays in leagues/comps. I also don't want to play overly competitive football and get hacked to pieces like in Sunday league.
Footy addicts allows me to find games close by with no week to week commitment. Met loads of great people through various games and expect to meet many more along the way.
Would recommend to all, infact, I often do.

Changed the game
After moving to a new city and managing a busy work schedule, I thought my football playing days were behind me. However, this app has completely changed the game. It lets me play football flexibly, fitting games into my schedule without the need for long-term commitments. The atmosphere at the games is always fantastic, and the app offers a wide range of locations and game sizes.
Great concept, awful app
I have been a member now for nearly 5 years, but the newest incarnation of the app is awful, so much so I can’t use it.
The calendar only shows the current month, the filter location search returns nothing (“can’t load search try again”) and when I search by venue it returns results but when I select one it crashes. Also, I’m following one venue but I can’t see it on the app. Needs a massive overhaul.
Update (Feb 2020) the app has changed again and not for the better. It is totally useless now as I can’t click on any locations to find games. Using the desktop version. Please sort the app out!!!
Play whenever you want
Playing football regularly or eventually can be tricky depending on a reasonable amount of engaged mates. But sometimes you or somebody else can’t make it. This application makes me happy, able to play multiple times same week in different pitches, and no worries when I can’t make it (as long as I don’t apply to join a game, of course).
Great concept, currently badly executed
Footy addicts is a great idea, but the UX of this app is terrible. It’s a nightmare to find games near you as the filtering is awful. What is the point of the venues page if it’s a giant list of venues with no search. Why not have favourite venues in My Hub? My Hub is the primary tab on the app and is currently empty 90% of the time unless you have a scheduled game.
On the football site of things, it’s a great concept, and sometimes is good fun, but unfortunately a lot of the time games are really uneven and not enjoyable. Perhaps, some kind of skill level/ requiring everyone to put an position in would make games better.
Revolutionary
The bad reviews for this app were all 3+ years ago, where the app may of been in a much worse state.
Been using FA since the start of 2023. Great app, easy navigation, great games and people. Really beneficial for people who can’t get a group of 10+ mates together weekly. Has really added some purpose in my weekly fitness now. So glad I found it!
Can’t believe I’ve only just found this app!
Found it on a Reddit suggestion and I was skeptical at first but wow it’s perfect just click a match pay through Apple Pay and turn up it’s as simple as that! I’ve already had a few games now and had no issues. Everyone’s sound no dirty tackles. Thanks app developers 🙌
Great app, great customer service
Brilliant concept for those that like playing regular football. I would advise to try a few different pitches as people are usually regular and you can find a certain level you are happy with.
Customer service has been great so far too, quick replies from the footyaddicts staff on the app.
MANAGEMENT ,Games and Pitches
Honestly there is a lot of pitches and games but not well organised and maintend. Managemnt and hosts (some) …is worse than I expected. People fighting on the pitch and not prosecuted or blocked for all times, like how it happens with me today at Bobby More Academy at 1pm, the guy was punching me in my face and the security lady standing and watching without doing anything … and no any host on the game who can deal with. Worse ever experience I had. I respect everyone but this is too much for me. Im going to delete this App and not using again and thank you very much for your organisation. It doesn’t worth even 4£.
Missing Key Feature!
Great app to find a game of football and easy to pay for your game now they have added Apple Pay.
But why if I follow a game waiting for someone to drop out do you email me instead of sending a notification to my phone. It could be hours later when I look at my email and the space has gone.
Other than that it’s simple to use and I play 3-4 times a week. Keep up the good work!
A fantastic app to start playing football again
I haven’t played football in a while and this app has allowed me to find games I can play locally. You don’t have to be the best in the world but it really just gets you going and it brings your passion back.
Good app but please make pictures enlargeable
Glad I found this app now I’ve found weekly games so I can play football again.
One thing, please make it so that you can enlarge peoples profile pictures to look at them properly. Hard to see if there’s anyone I recognise playing, or vote for a man of the match when I can’t see anyone’s picture properly.

Fantastic app for anyone looking to find games without the need for commitment. There are a few things than can be improved and I hope the makers continue working and improving the app as the idea and potential is there.
However overall it does what you need it to do, straightforward and simple to use!
Greatest community empowering football organisation
The best football community in England wherever you go there is a football opportunity to play with the most warming people. The app is so easy to use and the games bring the fun back to football - games of all levels for all people.

Just played my 250th game, so have been a fairly active user of the app!
It’s brilliant. Games available all over London and always a nice standard without being too intense.
Hopefully the app continues to improve and new locations are added in many cities.

Great way of finding football matches to play in. Very easy to use. I have been using the app for about eight months now with no issues. You could play football 7 days a week and even 2/3 times a day if you are able to.
Recommend Footy Addicts
Have used Footy Addicts for several years, games are fun, competitive and normally a decent standard. The pitches and facilities are good as well. App works flawlessly in my experience. If you’re looking for a game of football I’d definitely recommend you give it a go!
Topping up system terrible
The app is a great concept and I use it frequently to join games of footy. The topping up system is terrible, however. I can understand a minimum payment but why aren’t you able to choose how much you top up after this? I only ever play games that are £8 so topping up either £10, £25 or £50 just doesn’t make sense. Would be much better/more accessible if they changed this.
Great App - Apple/Google Pay Missing
It’s a great app that’s easy to navigate & find games. Checkout could be much easier & faster if Apple and Google Pay were added for those who use the app once in a while and for those who rather not top up (specially because you can only top up 3 certain amounts).

Honestly couldn’t have asked for better. For those with a busy schedule but wanting to play football in there spare time, this app makes it happen. Wherever I am in England I have a game that I can join around me which is what I love about it.

Great idea and works smoothly
Makes it easy to find a decent quality football game without having to do any organising. The app has always worked well on my iPhone without any issues. I’m very thankful that this app exists!
Most used app on my phone
This is a very useful app, I use it in London for games at least 2 times a week. I travel a lot for work, so I was able to join games in Leeds as well and it’s just so easy to use and the games are usually really fun!

Played 6 games now through this app and its been great. You never quite know what kind of game it’s going to be but the game always goes ahead. It’s never been a bad game. There’s great communication with the organisers and support teams. Easy to book 👍🏽

I moved from Europe to London and I played so far more than 250 games, I met a lot of people on this app. It’s easy to use, it has no complicated features and in case you have issues you can DM the organisers and they’ll response in a blink of the eyes. 5/5
Easy way to find games in new areas
I work away a lot and can easily find games, every time I’ve booked on to one they’ve been well organised and all the players turn up. Quality of football can be hit and miss as it’s always new players. App is a bit buggy but works fine online.

Footy Addicts has a great app. which I have used for a number of years. The app itself is very easy to use, and you can message and follow people on there too.

Perfect for the casual player
Working shifts in the evening, I’ve found it hard to commit to games. But with so much choice on this app, and loads of day matches, that is no longer an issue. Very easy to use

Won’t find a better app to find a game of football to play morning, noon or night! Standard and facilities are always good with the games all being played in the right attitude.
Concept brilliant / app rubbish!
The footy addicts concept is great. Finding a local game at convenient times and for the most part the games are well organised and run. This app in its current version however is rubbish. The search facility needs work and when you select a venue you can’t search by it which seems pointless. Please take the recent comments on board and come up with some functionality fixes.

Great app, the concept works really well and has helped me be able to play football in a new place. Can’t praise it enough, friendly people and great atmosphere at games.
Great way to play football
Used the app about 10 times now and it has been an excellent way to get in a couple of games a week at convenient times. The games that I’ve played have all been well organised and for the most part have been fully booked.
The website works great- the iOS app is a little buggy sometimes and could be improved a few small tweaks (e.g. the map being zoomed to the location instead of city level).
Looking forward to further improvements - more cities and more games please!
