Had to enter emergency contact details over and over and over. Filtered to only show one age group but resets to show all. Should default to children age groups. Too much extra info crowding out info I want to see. When are games and have they been selected. And if anything for me to do. It doesn’t. It hides info instead.

Hate this app, along with all other club apps.
It’s magnificent, if you want to live with your head stuck in your phone. Unfortunately the impersonality of it, detracts from any sense of community, that should be felt when being a club member.

Unintuitive and unusable
I’ve had to use it as a rugby coach and parent and I find this app a nightmare. Nothing I want to do is obvious. How it’s so widely used I will never know.
Broken since update
Since the update, I’m no longer able to get into the app version of Pitchero, only the desktop version. Really annoying.

We run our club on PitcHero, it is better than doing it yourself. Has some nice features but is clunky to admin and not straightforward for users.

Match Selection
Shocking that you can’t base selection on a match, just a day. Where multiple matches are on same day, so you select ‘yes’ or ‘no’ for all fixtures. Poor and easily resolved by developers, if they can be bothered.

Can’t make head nor tail of this app! Doesn’t help that it’s about the 75th one I’ve had to download in order to manage my kids’ weekly clubs, but it’s an absolute labyrinth. Parent? Player?Paying for something? Which kid? Who knows?!

I think this app is ok but a bit tricky to navigate at times and sometimes I am unable to set availability for upcoming matches

Managing messages is a nightmare. There is no way to delete old ones and if the conversation has been disabled before you read the message it remains forever highlighted as unread .
Could be great…
Would be great if it could handle a club-wide event like an end of season presentation. Would also be great if it could handle players playing in more than one team. Use Case: players can play for Team A or Team B depending on their availability and the game times on that day. Team A is playing at 9am. Team B is playing at 2pm. I can’t play at 9am but I can play at 2pm. I want to be able to set my availability for Team A as “unavailable” and Team B as “available”. This logic should also apply if there is a club-wide event on that day. Use Case: I can’t play in either 9am or 2pm game because I am injured but I can attend the end of season presentation. I am unavailable for Team A, unavailable for Team B and available for end of season presentation.
These 2 changes would earn Pitchero a 5 star rating 😊

I loaded this to follow my local Lacrosse Club, but only find info over 6 months old.
A bit pointless if the club fails to keep it up to date, so there’s no league table, events, match dates or locations available

Could be a lot easier to use, also it would be helpful to be able to view more teams than it currently allows. Ironically the manager app is quite good!

NEARLY GOT CONNED?
In an attempt to pay my annual membership fee to Southend HC, I clicked on “Start” and followed the instructions. I thought it was odd that I was being asked for only £3 when it came to providing my card details. Having checked, I’ve been informed it is in fact a 3rd-party ad! Very misleading, to say the least!

We’re forced to use this by our Rugby club. It’s the worst. Spond is far better - if you have the choice, download Spond and avoid this damn app. It’s crap.

This app is totally sporting club focussed and an awful user experience, with clunky notifications process, manual message deletion and very frustrating to use. If the sporting clubs weren’t so convenient I’d boycott them on principle!

Some good functions but the messaging element is awful. Can’t delete or manage mailboxes instead just have a list of old messages. Strange when every social media and email accounts allow decent mailbox management.
good up to a point
There are many improvements that could be made to this to make it really good. The major bug bear is when you set your availability you are solely doing it for that date and not specificity if there are several matches/squads that take place on that day, meaning all teams you are “seen" in get a notification you can play?!? Can’t be in 2 places at once.
The other annoyance is I have to keep reinstalling on my iPad as when updates are made to the app it refuses to load.
Decent all but missing clear venue section
Useful app for cricket clubs, but why not include a section where the venue (with address) for a match can be clearly stated? I would think that would be useful for any sport. Even home games are sometimes played at alternate venues

A great app that helps a lot when it comes to my sons’ cricket matches however the app is very slow: the updates to games don’t always show up and sometimes becomes a problem

Updated today and it won’t even open further than the initial screen have lost all info! Please fix asap! Many others in team have the same problem since the update.
Good but missing some functionality available on the web
I have used Pitchero for almost 10 years. I live by it, from player availability for training and matches, team selection, match location, alerts, communications, match reports, stats, etc. I love the fact that I have all my history from U7 to U15 available to read back on. I use the Pitchero Mgr app during the match to record live in match events which aid the writing of match reports. I even record videos and photos alongside key events. All my players and their parents are registered to this app so are kept up to date throughout the matches and the season. So why have I not given it a higher score? Well for one the adverts are annoying on both the app and website. And one thing missing from the app but available on the website are the season stats. Such a shame that these are not available on the app.
Cricket
Very useful app to keep all members (players/parents/supporters/volunteers) of the club informed and up to date with all goings on. Like other reviews, I wish it allowed more than 3x teams to be followed as especially with junior players, they can play in several age group teams and several senior teams regularly. Also if the shop allowed the checkout of more than 1x product at a time (use a basket feature) than that would also be a huge improvement. Otherwise a great app and would recommend to any sports club.
Football club
We have used this app for a year now and are glad to be using it again this season thanks to pitchero everything is now in one place dose take some time to work out all that it has to offer and recommend any admins using there desktop for all major edits or posting 👍👍 fixtures and leagues are easy to manage and teams are easy to separate
Need to split out events on same date
Pitchero is quite handy but as a user of many club apps, there is something quite annoying about this one.
When there are 2 evens on the same date, your availability status counts for both. This is unhelpful if you can’t actually make both.
For example my daughter is in multiple teams and also has training. Sometimes we can’t make one but we can make the other but I can’t make that obvious on the app. Please update it.
Time Zones need fixing

The summary schedule still shows the wrong day/date. If you select the training session the correct date is referenced within.
Great idea for an app. But has issues converting dates and times from Pitchero Manager to Pitchero Club. If this could be fixed, then it would be a great app and 5 stars. But for an app that’s supposed to help organise and coordinate large groups of people, it doesn’t help that the dates and times the rest of the group are getting are incorrect.
Just resigned to Pitchero after years away from them
What I will be interested in how pitchero develop their web systems when they close down FixturesLive ( which they bought many years ago) which is a superb system and will be so missed by many of us in the hockey world, not just to look at fixtures but also from the club membership databases and the broadcast system that Pitchero has already closed off.
Poor
Made an account and I can’t log back into it because it doesn’t ask to confirm email or password when you sign up. I spelled my email wrong and not noticed, but because there’s no email confirmation... I can’t log into it on the internet to change the email.
There needs be a section on the app where you can edit your details. Because I want to change the email to my ACTUAL email but I can’t.
Also there is no ‘fan’ option. I want to sign up as a fan of the team I chosen but I can’t. This app has been poorly created and needs them improvements.
Hockey
Trailed this app last year and found it good. Although it does need slightly more work to allow more of our clubs teams to be shown as only allowed 3 teams on my own account. This is quite frustrating due to having 2 players who play for up to 5 teams.
We have opened up more avenues within Pitchero and hopefully this will allow better running of the club and better finance.
Hopefully we can work together to make this a 5star app.
Better last year
I’ve had the same issues as others - the team list defaults back to a bunch of teams I don’t want to know about, and the teams I want info on won’t stay ticked. When I get a notification that my son’s been picked and click on it, it just takes me to the homepage with no indication of which team he’s been picked for (he plays for more than one). Then even when you find the right one, it takes three or four stages to confirm availability. It’s become a really confusing app, where last year it was really easy and intuitive to use.
PitcHero 5 Star
For managing all my teams needs , handling the collection of fees, centralised for availability messages and emails and keeping an eye on all my favourite clubs, fixtures, results, team members and much more. Nothing out there is better, I’ve used it for the last seven years. The parents and supporters can go back seven years looking at club photos and match reports. What more do you need ? Nothing.

Really useful App for planning the weekend games.
I use it several times a week for managing 3 family members playing in 3 different teams.
Certainly helps with the logistics planning and keeping an eye on the other teams results.
Would definitely recommend which is the same feedback I get from the club organisers.
Useful for all the team
Great to be able to see everything in one place. The app allows all team members to submit availability for training and matches in advance so coaches and managers can see this. Match scores can be submitted and even has a messaging system. It’s been really useful for our netball this year and we will continue to use it.

This is an engaging and interactive app, making team availability and league displays easy to follow. You can also use this to support development with training sessions, players profiles and club news. This has helped to club collectively work together and share ideas, plans and events which has inevitably brought us together as a club.
Brilliant app
Following my earlier review/complaint about the app crashing, the app was updated and all seems to be working perfectly fine. Great app, especially the option to play match fee and team updates etc all in one place is just amazing.
Glitch-Free, Relevant & Smooth
Relevant news & club updates for all the teams from Firsts right down to the Social “Touch” teams. Events, fixtures & reviews, all just a tap away. I use the app mainly for the team I’m involved with, but navigating between team management, club shop special offers etc, are all convenient & glitch-free 🏉

Useful App better before update
Being using this app for many years now and generally pleased with it. However the new update looks great and much easier to use but the ability to see if matches are home or away has been removed which is a real pain in the proverbial when working out match availability for two children in different teams!
Really Useful
I work shifts on a ten day pattern, the app gives me a really quick way to view the upcoming training and matches, and then let the coaches know my availability. The app then let’s me know I’m selected, where I need to be and when. I can also follow my sisters teams and message other members all from the same app. Simple to use and very effective.
Good App
Good app which I can get a quick overview of what has happened in the HC during the weekend. However could benefit from a few changes: Unable to see all the results from your league from the other teams and if you change your availability your captain/manager doesn’t get notified.
Great tool for keeping track!
We use this for our Rugby Club. Really useful tool to keep track of training sessions, cancellations, new fixtures etc. Really impressed with the “player of the match” feature too - it means we can have streamlined anonymous voting!

Generally good. Not clear on home/away fixtures though- is it the team in bold or the one who is displayed first?!
Also messages often pop up then disappear and you need to re log in to re set so you can see them. Sometimes this happens and sometimes it doesn’t.

Used this app for a couple of years now, it’s has improved a lot and is so easy to use ! Regular notifications when match fixtures are added , and a simple way to communicate with the coaches.

Grrr
Website for the club is a nightmare - adverts popping up all over the place making it really hard to understand info about the club.
So tried the app and I have a list of lots of teams at the club and no way to deselect ones I don’t want info about.
Then I get two messages that I’ve ‘unlocked’ 5 minutes ago: 15% discount till 5th June and then a minute later 20% discount valid till the 3rd May. And today’s the 9th June.
Can’t wait to see what else I get....
The most frustrating app to use
I have to use this app as a parent of two children in two different sports clubs, so four team in total. I find it SO frustrating. It just got stuck on a payment loop and now I’ve had to delete it and re upload it. I wish the clubs didn’t use it. The principle is brilliant but the use of it for anything more than confirming availability is so frustrating!!

Great app
This is so handy keeping us up to date. My 11 yr old son has dyspraxia and sport doesnt come easy to him. He’s now in his 3rd season and rugby has given him such self confidence that he didn’t have before. To have the Pitchero app keeping us u to date with our fabulous club has been brilliant.

I have only been using this app for around one month and it has been so much help with my hockey! I recommend to anyone and everyone as it is easy to use and a great way to communicate to your clubs!
Not too shabby.
Adverts can be a bit of pest but it is the World we live in. It’s easy to navigate, clear and easy communication between team members and good for sharing news, pics and match reports. This in conjunction with the manager app makes it well worth it.

We have been using Pitchero as a Netball Club for several years now and it has brought many new members to the Club and our Squad Management (three Squads) has improved beyond expectations.
Does most of what you want
Very good really and easy to keep track of fixtures etc. Should be great for the new cricket season. Would be nice to be able to pay via the app rather than online but that’s about my only major point.

Useful for cricket club
Not the most attractive app to look at (the club crests remind me of Football Manager where they don’t have the rights to use the real thing!) but has some really useful functionality and is intuitive to use. No real complaints. Good app.
