Freezes, lags uploads late not user friendly!

I have more than one player and switching between their Byga profiles is a pain - also why is it so hard just to log in

The chat needs a bigger box to type in and after you send the ability to edit.

Great app! Can manage all team activities and easy to see events and interact with teammates to coordinate all that goes into team sports. One thing that would make it 5 stars would be that when replying for attendance, the app jumps back to the top of the month. It takes time to scroll back down to check mark. Can it be changed to check off multiple events at once?

The chat rooms never load, moving within the app is not a smooth experience

Really helps throughout the season. Unfortunately, it continuously logs itself out. When you sign back in, it resets all the chats. As a director of a club, this is time-consuming and not effective day-to-day. Other than that frustrating issue, it's a good tool.

I love Byga so much it’s so quick and easy for my girl who loves playing soccer.

I like the old app better, not user friendly

As much as I complain about Game Changer, it has Byga beat in just about all respects. Things are mostly just terribly laid out. My home screen has half of it taken up with a feed of random teams in other states(?). My own team schedule is a mess — it’s easier to get there from my daughter’s individual schedule. Messaging a team is equally misplaced, there’s like 4 different ways to do it and only one of them is the actual thing. Finally, it’s always out of sync, like how hard is an unread indicator? The formation page is nice though, so I’ll give it that.

I thought Byga was amazing, it allowed me to see so many things! I enjoyed all of your amenities, just like the Hyatt Hotel! I was never late to any of my practices.

I’ve tried everything. This wins, no questions. Love the starting lineup graphic builder.

Sometimes the chat messages don’t send quickly. Sometimes calander emails send in the middle of the night.

Not sure why, but my phone and my wife’s phone are having issues with this app, it opens up and shuts itself down after 1 sec, I tried restart my phone and quite everything on my phone also updated my os and this app but did not help at all

It is very buggy sometimes and very annoying because it keeps logging me out when I click it so they need to fix it because of this

Needs work on schedule and chats as the GotSport and PlayMetrics are better in this regard.

I went into BYGA to try and find contact info for folks, and they make it very difficult. I want to write an email in my email app, and the only option for BYGA is to use their email service. Very frustrating and I hope the next sports club my kid joins doesn’t have BYGA.

For the most part, it’s great. I often have to close out & reopen to get messages to load or refresh. I also experience delays in the TeamCast, posts in the Chat feature, and it logs me out frequently.

I would recommend team snap, this app is hard to navigate and very confusing.

Sometimes chats freeze and you can’t get updates on time.

Desperately needs to show RSVP status in Schedule list view! I can’t see whether I’ve already replied except by viewing every event one by one?! Also handy: an Inbox “to RSVP” events. As it is, I’m asking myself if the flow for RSVPing to games could be any less intuitive or more clicks or more tedious.

I have 6 apps on my phone that relate to kids sports/activities. BYGA is by far the clunkiest, non-intuitive of the 6. I think it is cruel that groups would choose this app.

This app is so bad compared to all the other sports apps. It is so hard to manage and it has awful settings and how to control the app. Personally I would not use this retarted app and there are way better alternatives.

I hate Byga. Our club switched to it this year. Hard to use. Hard to find messages. Not intuitive at all.

Why is there a toggle indicating an attendance note is private when it isn’t? Thank you BYGA for a bug that causes issues amongst an already highly competitive sport. The worst app ever!

I was nervous about the switch to byga but so happy with the club’s decision in the end. The first screen is great to find when and where we have to be.

Asked them to change the app so it doesnt scroll back to the top of when looking at calendar, still havent fixed/changed that. Also, need to scroll back to much to get back to category options.

Please include day as well as date in schedule

Wish manager access would allow you to make some adjustments to player assistance, as some parent’s don’t updated and other apps allows mgr/coach to update assistance.

While I love the subscription option for the calendar they do not sync properly and the location is not easy to obtain within the calendar event.

Our team uses the group chat the most. But it takes at least three clicks just to get to the team chat! There should’ve been a better way to get to the chat directly. Make it as an option on the bottom menu as a shortcut.

This is a torture so u don’t see how anybody could like it. It is useless.

It app is great and very handy, although it makes it so every so often you have to sign back in. Other than that, it’s a good app to have.

Reliable

I live in Washington State and my son’s soccer club Surf uses this app. My daughters play in another club, Crossfire which uses TeamSnap. First of all I hate having to use multiple apps because my kids are in different clubs but that’s not Byga’s fault. What is Byga’s fault is how hard it is to 1) see at a glance my son’s schedule and reported availability - 3-4 clicks when it should be on the home page! 2) how many clicks it takes to get into chat or messaging - my god, it’s like having another email app in addition to your work and personal account. And, 3) this may be the way the club set it up but the games don’t have a clickable address to get directions to where we are playing a game. I have to go old school and read it, memorize it and look it up myself. Do not recommend, but it works fine - just not optimized enough for me 👎

This app is terrible for team communication, looking at calendars, marking availability and just about everything else when compared to its peers. They should spend some time copying others.

I originally had teamsnap but my team decided to make a switch to Byga and it was an amazing choice. SO MUCH EASIER!

I’m reviewing this as a parent whose daughter is in her first season of competitive club soccer. I have been using Byga, both on the web and through the app, for a few months now. I already love Byga in general and the app is a perfect companion to the more full-featured web product. It has the most important pieces I need on the go: a detailed schedule and the ability to read and send messages to the coach and other parents on the team. The interface is simple (in a good way) and intuitive. I haven’t encountered any bugs or rough edges. Love it!

I previously wrote a review requesting the ability to emote and Lo and behold, they addressed and updated not long after. Talk about responsiveness. I am now hoping for another update since the development team here is amazing. I would like to request the ability to put a “maybe” as an option for game and event availability. There are times where a no doesn’t suffice and it would be useful. Please developers answer this request and all will be perfect! :)

I am the manager of a boys club team. BYGA is a great tool for our team to use for scheduling, roster info, etc. But a very helpful feature I have used this year has been the recruiting profile. Players put their info in and the profile sheet is ready to be saved and printed. I had some questions while using this feature and BYGA customer service quickly responded and answered my questions. Five stars for fabulous customer service!

So we use BYGA for our club soccer organization. Overall fantastic But… I keep getting annoying glitch on my iPhone. I can view the chats and type in the box, but not send. The send arrow stay gray and does not work. Sometimes it works just fine other times it won’t work at all. I think it might related to updates on the phone.

As a sports parent, this app is missing basic functions like having jersey # with kids on roster, Kidd’s roster in alpha order, once you give green light to a game (say yes you are available) you have to keep going into each game to know which one you said yes to. You can’t tell which games you have already said yes or no by looking at the schedule at a glance. If there are multiple games, each time you exit, it takes you to the top. It is NOT user friendly for parents. Coaches have to email to tell you which uniform to wear because there isn’t a spot to put in the app. It’s a mess! Not one of the team parents is a fan.

This was the app our sports team choose and not the typical app we have used in the past. I find it difficult to navigate when trying to see what our schedule is and you have to click several times to get to the information needed. My least favorite part is trying to get information on location of games. It would be great if you could see the address at first glance and have an option to link the location to your favorite navigation app.

Our entire soccer club uses BYGA and it has been great! They work with us if there are any issues and really strive to keep bettering the platform. We are able to do our schedule on it, (and it automatically syncs to my phone calendar), group chats, RSVP’s for practices, emails, score updates, etc. Plus it is easy if you’re managing or are on more than one team. Would highly recommend!

The app is great and really convenient and gives me all the information I need except when there is a game the app only lists the name of the field. It would be super nice if it gave a link to the address via Google Maps or Waze.

Love this app. I’m a team manager for a soccer club and this app works beautifully for our calendar events. My only suggestion would be to add the ability to “like” a comment in the chat room or at least show who sees it. Whenever I post an update to my team, I have no idea if anyone saw it or agrees/etc unless they physically respond. Please consider adding this feature to your next update. Thank you.

I have tried all of the team apps. Team Snap, what’s app, Group Me, Ollie….this is by far the worst app. I don’t like the layout. I don’t like the calendar. I don’t like the chat feature, as a matter of fact our teams don’t even use it for chatting, unfortunately we have to use a whole other app for team communication. Our whole club is forced to use this app because of back end options, there are better plat forms for that too….if not forced to use this I would gladly delete it and never turn back. I do not recommend Byga, there are better team apps out there!

I really liked the app and used it regularly with our club soccer play, until the most recent update. It freezes, I can’t rsvp attendance, can’t chat- nothing. I’ve updated my phone, deleted the app and redos loaded, made sure the update was correct. I can’t possibly be the only person having this issue- and I shouldn’t need to contact our soccer club to fix it. Please fix the bugs and I will happily improve my rating!

Chat feature always has issues not loading or updating. Also no option to set up a separate chat that’s not for the whole team.

TeamSnap is a better platform. Ollie is a fantastic platform. Both are easier to navigate. The layout it better and easier on the eye. Both are better for communication and ease of use and changing information regarding player, etc. I don’t even like getting on and using BYGA. Not sure why we use it unless the club developed their own platform and want to make money off it. It’s only worth it if it’s free. The others are so much better.

We’ve used BYGA over at Avalanche soccer club for a few years now and it has been a wonderful tool for tracking and managing our teams. Whether a coach, team manager or a parent, the interface is very user-friendly, and gets the job done very well. Thanks!

The Byga app does everything I need it to do for keeping up with the team calendars, marking availability, and communicating with team staff. I like that the app provides a consolidated view of our family soccer events without switching between teams.

It is great to see what color we are and where we are playing and what time and so I think it has really helped our team to know where to go and what time and what to wear so I am grateful for that and thank you so much for all that you do

RSVPing for games is a pain, it is hard to see at a glance if you haven’t RSVPd yet, maybe would be a great option or a note. Sometimes the answer is yes but we will be 30min late. Also, it would be nice to have a spot for what color to wear on games. It would be great if the schedule days and time could be seen at a glance, right now you have to click on every day to see the time/location of game/practice. Very cumbersome to use. Team snap is MUCH better.

The only communication that can be used is email. That is a horrible way to communicate when all other apps send out notifications that pop up on your phone. If you try to chat, it only allows users that have a phone number and then sends you to iMessage. Why does the App not allow chatting inside it? I would not recommend this for any sport team unless you only like to email.

It’s challenging to have Byga app when coparenting. Usually other app like gamechanger each parent and non legal parent can rsvp the player if they are attending without giving them full access to the account. Especially when the non legal parent is the one managing the account. Other than app is ok

Can my availability populate on the schedule section, main calendar tab? I have multiple children and rsvp status populates under their name and individual team section which is great. I wish it would show my RSVP on main calendar as well opposed to just going into their team section only.

I am a mom with a very active teen, I am on 3 different platforms for team management. I have no issues getting alerts from the other apps, but with the BYGA app it is hit or miss. I am pretty savvy with electronics so I do not believe it is user error. I miss a lot of realtors time message that a valuable to my athlete. Please fix this bug!

Three kids, half a dozen different sports and many platforms later, and BYGA is BY FAR the worst. Glitchy, laggy, OFTEN completely unavailable. Not user friendly or intuitive on any level. Makes me wonder how much of our league fees we pay go to this “service” for what an absolute fail it is. Not impressed. Two years of struggling with this is nonsensical for our league and families.

Love Byga! So easy to see your kid’s team schedule especially when you have multiple kids in one club. Easy to know when and where I need to be!

Byga is great and easy to use. I just wish you could see who is attending the practices/games/events like you used to be able to. Now it is your own kids rsvp that you can see and no one else’s.

Every time I go to write emails its slow and freezes up and half the time wont let me edit the email and I have to go out and back in and make sure I write the email in word then just paste it…super inconvenient and annoying. Also don’t like the fact we can’t send singular chats but are confined to only group chats.

I am coach using BYGA. Great application, much better than TeamSnap. My only complaint is Byga does not link with the google map when we click to the event. Thanks.

Why is the font so small?? Change the layout to allow for bigger font. Can’t zoom in either… Chat features remind me of 2007. Calendar too! Overall not user friendly. Only reason I use it is because it’s mandated by our youth sports team.

Wish they would pull second line of text from game location from got soccer as that is inevitably the address. First line has name of site but sometimes ambiguous and parents go to wrong site

The good: It has a nice tryouts feature where you can evaluate kids and rank them. The bad: The chat messaging aspect is pretty bad. As a coach, I’d like to be able to message parents individually within the app but Byga doesn’t allow that. Chat notifications are awful as I never know if messages notifications get to parents. It would also be nice to give a thumbs up to messages that only notifies the sender in the group chat. Unfortunately, you have to 👍🏻 to accomplish this which then notifies everyone of a message.

I really like this app for managing teams. But for some reason I’m not getting notifications for when I receive a message, I do have all notifications on for this app, and I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app.

At this point, I’ve used a lot of different apps to manage my kids sports schedules, and Byga stands out is the best in class.

Had to switch from Byga to Playmetrics for my son’s club team. Byga is so much more user friendly and efficient compared to Playmetrics.
