Has helped me organise my grassroots football team. Can be a bit fiddly on occasion when scheduling upcoming matches but generally good. This is a great app but the adds have become highly invasive lately and very annoying.

The adverts are really very obtrusive. Often they take over the whole screen for a period of time. It is a shame, the app is good otherwise.Just ruined by the monetisation approach they have chosen to take. I would consider paying g to remove the ads but it is quite a lot of money each month. If there was a one off payment option I would consider that, but I’m not paying £2.49 per month. £30 a year is more than double I pay for any other app and this is just for my kids football. It’s a good app but no where near that good.

This company don’t care about the end user experience. To collect payments of an amateur club, it costs £97.99 a year and then there’s a 50p (minimum) admin fee on top of EVERY transaction. All users (apart from coaching) will have adverts and pop ups in the app, disrupting smooth operations. To get rid off them is will cost you £129.99 a year. Shocking development too, very buggy and they make changes that affect the day to day running of the app like taking payments. Just don’t bother with it.

You will open the app and go to confirm attendance in the schedule! Surprise! Where you were about to click is an advert. Spend two minutes looking for the almost invisible close button. Close advert. Surprise another pop up. Finally you can take the ten seconds to click “going” but you’ve been five minutes in the app. Well done guys.

I use this app for my daughters football team information. What is absolutely infuriating is that a stupid video advert pops up every time I open the app, which you cannot close until the mandatory viewing time has elapsed. Go back to the original format with little adverts in the schedule, which are still there. Utterly frustrating!!

This is a great app we have been using for a number of years however recently the number of adverts is becoming very frustrating. I appreciate the up developers need to bring in revenue but maybe they want to think about the number of adverts and where they are located at, within the app to stop user frustration. This is one of the best apps out there so don’t be put off by the number of adverts for something that is free.

I’m surprised that this app is so highly rated. There are better apps out there that offer much more for free. The main reason for downrating this app is because you have to subscribe just to have it sync with your calendar. But that’s not the worst of it - Heja requires you to subscribe to a calendar that is unique to the user which means you can’t share calendar events in a shared family calendar (like other apps). So each family member has to subscribe separately to the calendar??

We’ve started using Heja this season so that we can keep track of training sign ups, and it’s been a huge help! Previously training sessions were more casual, people could just show up but under the current circumstances we need to know numbers in advance and allocate players into sub-groups for each week. We were a little nervous about trying to get people used to this new system but Heja has made it so much easier. The app is very intuitive and simple to navigate, and it’s been particularly helpful for communicating with parents of our fast growing junior section. Definitely recommend to any other teams who are needing a way to manage sign ups!

Would be better if it had a register to keep track of overall attendance along with a search bar so you can search through post. And also a gallery so you can look through photos you have posted to the team could be a great memory app in years to come for the kids We have used it for 2 years now and posted 100s of photos. I’ve been a grass route football coach for 15 years and this app has changed the way I communicate and saves me loads of time. It’s got some great Safegaurding features and the added protection in built into the messaging section is very handy as the children get older. I use this across multiple teams and it is a life saver. You can link in Apple Maps and send them to everyone as well as setting reminders. Coach Chris

This app is so much easy to use than others I have tried. I love the fact I can as players with the parents so I can safely post things for the team to see, I will add videos of skills we are going to work on in training so they know before they turn up. I can have separate coach chats. I can see who or hasn’t looked at the messages. Putting games on is a piece of cake. A well thought out app, try it.

Initially I was a little sceptical but this app has been so helpful to me. I run an u14 team and it just eases communication so much by using the app. I just make sure the fixtures are in, and it reminds people to confirm if they are playing or not. So much better than a WhatsApp group. I also use it to upload info that’s needed. Also when I found a glitch, the creators were very responsive to fixing it. As a parent juggling several fixtures and training. This app gives the parent, player and coaches everything they need. Fixtures, times dates, locations that work with any map app. You can see how many players are attending etc. It’s got a messaging section and details about player, coach and parent profile. I’ve used a lot of team applications and this is hands down the best. Good Job Heja.

Hi Team - I have just started looking at a useful app we could use for our Youth team. Been taking a look at Heja, and this looks like a great app that will do 95% of what I will need. The only thing that I was hoping to be able to achieve was to put Poll’s out to parents when trying to make key decisions? I appreciate this can be done in a post, but this makes it harder to calculate the results of the decision and overall visibility of the progress. It would be a great feature to add to Heja, with the ability to: - Create a Poll with multiple selectable options - Time restrictions on Poll - Real time Poll progress visibility / notification? - Re-open poll feature? - Re-occurring feature - E.g. Man of the Match poll every week Just ideas, I am sure your team will have great ideas to run with this. (I imagine it is already on your Dev plan). Thanks Matt

Love the app, it’s fantastic. One change I would like to see would be the option for different roles at the club. Parent helpers and admin workers are only given the option to be added as coaches. It’s not major but having the ability to add something like a ‘Club Helper’ which would be a separate list from coaches and separate chat functions, would be useful.

The app was suggested to us by someone who’d seen it being used by another team. We’ve trialled it and it’s excellent for communicating with everyone involved in the team and having a schedule running alongside that allows users to select whether they can attend events or not. Great tools for coaches planning sessions. Not all our users have come around to it, but We love the app and can’t recommend it enough.

It also allows communication between children and their parents so you are able to reach out and seek help and guidance when required. This was a 5 star app until they added all the adverts now it really make the app a pain to navigate will pop ups etc. also we had Heja Pro and they decided even though we had paid for a year they would cut it back to standard after 6 months. We had to make several complaints to get it reinstated which was a real pain especially as we had over 30 teams using it. Such a shame

I love this app but can’t give it five stars because of its issues. - New games or training sessions sometimes don’t update on everyone’s platform for a while, sometimes have to manually refresh by pulling down. - I tried to upgrade to pro on two teams I use the app for. It failed and throws errors up all the time so can’t upgrade. It let me upgrade one team but I won’t continue with Pro on that if I can’t get them both upgraded. - I love the new features and statistics but I think we are missing features that would really make this app outstanding, and that is being able to add the score line after a game, add goal scorers and have those statistics available in the new team statistic section. That would show us who has scored most throughout the season.

Great app to manage player attendance and communicate with parents as opposed to using Whatsapp. My only criticism is, that it does not send the adim/manager any notifications when parents accept/decline attendance to schedule training/matches. Especially difficult when someone initially accepts, then declines at last minute, meaning you need to constantly check the attendance list....not always practical when setting up goals/pitch ready for a match.

Latest app update now had ads - and in the settings you do have the option to remove consent for your data . But they have so many that require “legitimate interest” that you cannot turn consent off - very worrying considering the amount of children’s information there is under a team. Why can’t we turn this consent off ? I’ve tried and confirmed my options , but as soon as I go back in the “on” has reverted back again. Very worrying

Totally essential to managing a kids football team. We have 1 pool of players and 2-3 teams and works fine to select players and coaches from the squad and allocate them to teams. Can get RSVPs from parents for matches and training. And send messages. I dread to think of the Whatsapp and spreadsheet confusion we’d be in without it.

Heja is a good way for people ( ie coaches ) to get an announcement out to a group of people ( ie their team ) . It glitches sometimes when you are trying to open the app and sometimes says you have a notification when you dont . Generally it is a great group app that just needs a few tweeks.

I have been looking for an app to run my sports teams I coach instead of have a million WhatsApp group. After reviewing loads of apps, not one stands out as the best unfortunately as all have things missing. Heja is great but could do with the following important additions: - ability to create subgroups within the main group (captains, leadership group, etc). - polls for various voting post game (for all members and coaches and admins to be able to vote in). - attendance register to check who actually came to training, even though their said yes with the availability. - ability to take payments for fines, etc. Hopefully these can be added to this already good app.

My team had the app installed for a month or so and everything worked okay. But since a month or 2 the app is impossible to use for anyone owning an iPhone because it crashes no matter which button you touch. I already had contact with support but there seems to be no rush to get it fixed.

This app has saved me a lot of time and many headaches. It is free to use, but there is also a paid version. The free version allows you to set a schedule for practices and games with attendance tracking and reminders, a team chat, private chats, uploading files, and other useful features. It is fairly easy to use, and has a short learning curve. I have used this app for two years. I recommend it

It works amazing for my team! I love the calendar and how you can sync it to your own, the team picture you can add, and the posts page. The app has some quirks and Bugs out sometimes but overall great app! We have been using it for 2 years.* UPDATE *I have been on this app for many years and it has been amazing. I am extremely upset with the update. The syncing to my calendar was the best part of the app and we have to pay now and it is SO EXPENSIVE. I will be switching apps due to this. I will miss this app. Y’all made a mistake and lost my team’s support from this. We were planning on using it for years to come. The pro option is not going to happen with my team at that price.*UPDATE PART 2* They fixed it and now me and my team are extremely happy. The calendar sync is now free! Say goodbye to the monotony of sending countless texts and say hello to Heja! Heja lets you send group or private messages, create team schedules, share photos and videos, manage information. In my experience as a team coach and league coordinator, a team management app is rendered useless if only half your team is using it. Luckily, the good people at Heja have made inviting, adding, and editing members as easy as 1..2..3. Once set up, this app will give you the option to invite members using convenient communication methods including text message, Facebook, and/or email. Currently, I am managing 3 separate teams without complications or confusion. The app itself works seamlessly and I’ve yet to see any issues as far a “bugs” go. The developers packed the app with helpful features any team manager will find useful without overwhelming it with bells and whistles. In short, this app is everything you need, nothing you don’t. In conclusion, this app feels like whoever created trulydid his or her homework. It suits my every needs as a team management and will replace all previously downloaded (inferior) competitors.

There are several issues that make the app difficult to use. Sometimes the support people respond and sometimes they do not. I believe there is a language barrier and they do not understand how certain coaches and teams operate in America. 1. It is very time consuming to input your entire year schedule because you have to input each date manually if the practice or day of the week changes. If you want to input March practices and games, and if you are in August, the scrolling mechanism will start in August and you have to scroll all the way to March and then scroll the date. 2. They do not have a To Be Announced Feature (TBA) if the time of your event has not been determined..the App forces you to input a time. This has been confusing for my teams. 3. Photos or video you upload are very grainy. I thought I would be able to send photos to my teams but because of the poor quality, I just send them photo to let them know I am sending the photos or videos via emails. 4. It takes a long time to download a video. 5. If you want to send a message or change from the Roster to the schedule, you have to close out of the app to (refresh) to find the message board or for the most current information (who has received your messages) to appear. 6. So why use the app?...Once the schedule is posted it looks great and is easy to make adjustments. You can easily see who on your team has received your messages and who has not. You can send out quick reminders. You can easily directly contact a team member. This has been invaluable. Well worth the before mentioned challenges with the App.

I checked out the app and was super impressed. I created the first team and was so excited I immediately signed up for the pro version as I do need multiple admins for the group and you need the pro version for that ($12 a month). Great. Done. Still excited. Finally - the perfect app for my needs. I’ve been looking for one for ages. I then created the second team (different age group for the same sport club) only to find that to get all the features for that team (multiple admins etc) I had to sign up for the pro-version again. ANOTHER $12 a month. I have several teams (6 or 7) for the same sport club. I can’t possibly subscribe to the pro version for each group. I assumed that the pro version would cover all the teams. I am terribly disappointed as I now have to go and delete the second group as it is useless without the extra features.

This app is really good for my daughter she loves it and it makes it easier to communicate with her team. I can see all of her messages she sends on this app. It’s also really good for her because she has a limit on people to add to her contacts (so she can’t add anyone unless I type in a passcode) so that saves me extra time and it’s js so much easier. The only thing however that I don’t like is the adverts… it’s not that they are bad it’s that they pop up at random times and sometimes when you are trying to say you are going to be late. Otherwise this app is perfect I definitely recommend it.

Has everything you’d need to communicate to your team. Events like practices and games. Their times and locations. Your team has the ability to let you know if they can make it or not and leave a reason. They can notify if they need a ride, will be arriving late or even early. All these items are viewable by the rest of the team so everyone is in the loop. My favorite feature is being able to remind people to say if they’re attending an activity or not and the app sends a notification to their phone asking them. The only thing I’d add is being able to assign positions and share lineups before games. But other than that it’s awesome and such a big help. 100% worth the money.

I only have positive things to say about this app. Heja thought of everything. At the beginning of the season, I used the Home page to post reminders and forward emails I received from the region. Now, parents use it to post pics from practices and soon games. And I love that you can monitor how many of the team has seen and responded to each post. The schedule feature is AMAZING. I added every practice session, created events only for Team Managers and Coaches, and will soon add the game schedule. I can easily track who is attending and missing a practice so I can prepare accordingly. The app sends everyone, including me as the Admin, a reminder two hours before an event begins. Wonderful! Registering was a breeze. Setting up the team page and inviting my team to join was easy too. No problems!! I was also able to assign which parents have Admin access. So simple! Lastly, when I did my research, Heja made it known that our privacy is their priority. They really thought of everything!

Keeps communication efficient! Keeps information for both of my children in one place at a tap of a button! With them being in 2 different age groups but on the same team, it’s hard to juggle information! But the app has done all the work for me! Everything is organized and easy to access for both children even when info is completely different! App has been a life changer! Heja allows to you manage 1 or multiple teams. It allows you to create automated schedules and events that go out to your team instantly. Members simply click “Going” or “Not Going” to all events. Also members can post updates, ask questions, and talk to each other via the team chat feature. It cuts out the need for managers to call, text, or manage text messaging groups. If you opt for the paid features, it kills the ads and lets you take payments. Definitely worth implementing for team managers.

This app does everything I need it to do and more! I no longer have to worry about missing out on something team related. It is always updated with newest info from coaches. If I have a question I can easily contact the coaches through the app and do what I need to do. It even allows me to update if I’m going to be at practices and games and stuff like that so I don’t have to worry about the coaches wondering if I’m there or not. It’s a great app and I would 10/10 recommend to my friends.

It would be nice if coach and admin could both control the schedule without paying for the pro version. For coaches who often make pennies for their time coaching youth sports the cost is kind of high. Our soccer league has a calendar you can automatically subscribe to, wish we could integrate that link into the Heja app so every game and game change wouldn’t have to be manually input. Also it would be nice if the directions would link straight from your calendar (google, iCal etc) without having to open the app to then get the address and directions

App is ok, do not pay for Pro plan. I started free trial in order to use web interface from my desktop so that I could upload pictures and videos off of my DSLR. You do not have access to any of the messages or sub chats and must upload them to the main team chat. This is ok i guess however after I put in CC info to gain access to this, there is no way to cancel or remove the subscription, I find it really ridiculous that you have to pay for desktop access and it gives you less access than free phone app, so in order to do what I want to do I have to email items from my desktop to my phone download them on my phone the post them to Heja not very efficient.

We just started using this app for our HS cheer team & we all love it. It works so well to organize everything in one spot - scheduling/attendance, messaging, videos, file sharing - it gets the job done while being fun to use. Some things we would add/change is a way to keep track of different kinds absences - some let us know months in advance and some are “unexcused” and we had no notice of it. It’s amazing to see the percentages of each member’s attendance, but nothing is factored in. Another small thing is to see everyone’s birthdays, either on the schedule or even get a notification on the day. Love that they can add to their profile, but have to go to each member’s to see when it is. If there’s a way to get different views of the schedule - not just in list form - I, personally, would benefit greatly from that. It’s a great app! Definitely recommend.

Do not ever try to change your email on the app! I have tried EVERYTHING and the app will not load on my phone anymore! I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling, closing all my tabs, clearing my history, shutting my phone down, EVERYTHING! I have plenty of storage on my phone and my phone is also brand new so nothing is out of date. My child is on a travel team and this app is the ONLY WAY WE COMMUNICATE! I have been in contact with Sara on here and it’s almost been ONE WEEK and nothing is fixed! There is no phone number to call so all communication is done via email. They do not respond on weekends and if you get a response on the weekday, it’s only once per day! UNACCEPTABLE!!

As a director of a travel basketball program this app has been really easy to keep teams separate and organized. I would like the ability to communicate with people through messages on the desktop version. I’d also like to see the chat tab be more user friendly with a search option at the top as I communicate a lot here and messages seem harder to find at times. Great app and I will continue to use it for my teams!!

We loved this app as a member of a sports team, but we would love to use it as a member of our school club. We just need the ability to tweak some of the titles. We don't have coaches and such. Would love it if this app could be expanded to clubs like ours just by making some of the wording flexible. I know nothing is simple when it comes to programming but I hope you will consider it. Our team switched from GroupMe to Heja and I’ve enjoyed using this app. May it be from the schedule tab, to the news feed with separate team chat and attendance. Things I would love to see added to this app are: •The ability to add images (like screenshots of the game schedule, field maps etc) to the schedule tab events •GIFs in chats would be fun, too! I give it 4 out of 5 because I don’t enjoy the adds in the news feed. Would be willing to buy the app for a few $ (no subscriptions!).

Coaches and parents love the app. It’s more organized than group text. The schedule shows exactly when, where and what time we have games, practices, tournaments, etc. Reminders are sent out multiples times the day before and day of the activity. Just do it. Parents were resist at first but once they logged in they love it! You can also have messages between coaches and admin, team chat, and then private messages if needed.

Heja is a great app! But I needs a few updates. When I was sending a video for my team to see it took about 2 hours! That’s was really long and frustrating! But everything but that was amazing! I love chatting with my team and it’s perfect for sending announcements! For example I don’t have all of my teams phone numbers, but on Heja I do I can send everyone messages! After all Heja is a great app!

You can have everything on this is shows a clear schedule with the time, date, and place you can make a group chat and you can privately message anyone else in your team group and when is shows you your upcoming activities you can say if your going or not I will always use this for a scheduling app!!!

Easy to use and set up in minutes. I’m a baseball coach that has used it for a college team, a travel team, and a youth team. A great resource for team communication and helps keep everything organized. See who is attending and plan ahead. Also allows one on one or group chat, as well as your very own home feed where you can post links and updates.

I like the ease of use and the quick notifications. I have had no problem with the app besides one time freezing, but my phone did that kind of thing before installing this app. If the organizer puts all the schedule info into the app then it seems it would be very productive but our coach has not yet used this feature. I can not rate the fifth star only because I have not seen the feature of the scheduler, by no fault from this app maker. Otherwise Great Job!

We use this app for baseball. Love that you can communicate, schedule and do videos in same app. I do wish the videos could be longer than five minutes and that you could upload more than one at a time. Rarely is an inning or a practice segment shorter than five minutes so it makes the videos kind of choppy and it takes a while to cut all the videos to less than five minutes and upload one at a time.

Sports team has been looking (for years) for a good, FREE, option for team and schedule management. Being a self-sponsored team, TeamSnap just isn’t a good option as that would increase team fees. Used an online team manager, which was difficult to use with poor organization and notifications. So far, Heja is working well for our purposes. Some improvements that would be awesome for us are 1) ability to upload non-picture or video files, such as word documents or spreadsheets (for team documents like registration, waivers, etc) 2) ability to edit your own posts 3) admin abilities: to pin posts to the top of the page, to merge posts At this point, we do still have to use Facebook and/or Google docs for these purposes, which means we still have team info in multiple different places... but it’s a start!

I was on my volleyball team and there was a lot of miscommunication because we didn’t use heja and we used normal messages but because our coach wasn’t aloud to give her phone number out to the whole team she only gave it to the captains and that caused confusion but, now being on the basketball team we use heja and it’s very easy to see rescheduling and easy to communicate with teammates and coaches

I don’t normally write reviews but this makes communication so easy! Let’s not talk about how simple it is to fundraise… I’m talking a click of a button!! You can schedule activities as well and the team will get notifications to remind them over everything! You can track who’s viewed your post as well. I highly recommend Heja! Hate those annoying group texts? This is the perfect app. It’s very organized and you will only get notifications if someone posts to the team page. For example the coach may post that practice for today is canceled. Then you won’t get notifications for every little comment or “like”. You can post the schedule as well. Love it!

This app is a perfect solution for scheduling our weekly pick up games. So much better than sending a bunch of emails! Very nice app for communication and scheduling for teams. I would definitely recommend it. It would be nice to have a photo album button to easily access photos/videos that were shared the team on the main timeline. When sharing/posting, include an option to copy the photo/video to team photo album. Would also be nice to be able to input player jersey numbers for each player profile.

Heja is super great! I’m apart of the high school cross country team and heja is super helpful. My coaches are able to send out posts about workouts we have for practices and updates about upcoming meets and events. It is also super awesome because team mates can contact coaches without having to get their personal cell phone number or email. I’ve been using it for about a year and don’t have a single complaint.

1. As a coach, I would be happy to pay on behalf of my players so I can remove ads for them. Some of them might not have much money and they are stuck with the ads. This is a big missing feature. The app should offer a subscription tier that removes ads for the entire team, not just for the coach. 2. Today the app is freezing up when starting with the wait circle spinning forever. So I cannot communicate with the team. I am hoping this is a temporary glitch. I have contacted tech support to make Heja aware. Otherwise besides these two issues, the app has been great. It has the essential features for coaching a youth team and is very user friendly. Overall excellent but with these two major gaps = 3 stars.

The app is great! I love that I can accept fees on the app using the pro addition. However, parents have had trouble with getting accurate information on the schedule. Seems like you have to go in and manaually update the app every week or so. Wish that it updated or refreshed itself more frequently so that information is accurate. Other than that great app.

Really like the amount of information the platform provides, the chat framework and schedule as well as the ability to switch from different teams when you have multiple children. It’s quite easy and intuitive. What I don’t like is the amount of pop up ads it has and how sometimes it won’t let you proceed unless you watch a commercial. I find that very intrusive and distracting.

It would be great if this app would refresh correctly, constantly says I have a new notification but I can’t figure out what they are, and then the notifications never go away once I’ve read over all I can. and it needs to show the last several comments all at once so you have context to comments. Usually I have to go back and re-read all the comments to make sense of it. Handy but could be better on the details.

About a year ago the app was used for our soccer team. It obviously had some limitations but we figured out how to utilize it as best as possible. Now with the added Ads on Crazy Mode it’s annoying. I click through and full screen timed Ad. Yes, developers need to try and make money, but the subtle ads while scrolling isn’t as bad as full screen ones. Push notifications are random - they work and they don’t sometimes. Yes the App is up to date, yes I’ve reinstalled it, yes I’ve signed in and out. But while gathered with other users in the same team, the same message is delayed and missed on multiple occasions. Premium - This option should be available for the Administrator to purchase and Add parents/players into a paid Premium account. Why should 1 players parents pay premium twice just to stay updated with schedules and changes.

I have been using the app for about a month now and it has worked great to communicate with varsity and junior varsity team members. It is easy to use whole group but also it is easy message a single athlete or group of players . The add picture tab also come in handy to send pictures of schedules or action shots that parents may want to share with everyone.

The overall functionality works for mass alerts and makes it easy to keep updated. My one complaint is the private message/chat service. After a few messages, you can no longer scroll up to see the previous comments or questions which makes it necessary to create more messages. Would like to see an update that allows you to review previous reply’s in the chat function.

Before I used Remind, and it was decent until it just stopped working and my coach switched us to Heja, and when I tell you we’re impressed by the amount of new things on here like the rewards/discount system and the fact you can see who views the posts. Very great!

I have used other communication apps for various sports. This one bar surpasses all of them. I have been a parent and also a manager using this app. I love the scheduling, the reminders, and the ability to share information in the announcements. The only thing that I haven’t done is used it to collect fees.

I have no problem with the app needing adds to support it, however there doesn’t seem to be any kind of screening for the quality of adds. There are sexually suggestive adds being shown to my young students. I wish Heja put protections into their add program like they do their other safety features
